it does not mean to lay back and wait the money to come, it means you have to look past it... chasing what money gets you, not money itself.

Actually, I gotta agree with Haraklus here. After being in business for most of my life, pursuing the things money can provide is a great way to get poor - you end up rewarding yourself far too soon to build any lasting wealth. Focusing on building a growing net worth will allow you to have everything, not just appear to have everything.

Edit: There is a Chris Rock bit about how blacks might get rich, but they will never be wealthy until they care more about their investment portfolio than the rims on their car. Same idea.

Work twice as hard as everyone else, pick a career field with real demand, and learn how to market yourself. Mix and shake for ten years. I sure hope you're a teenager.
