Understanding the Dark Triad is critical to understanding women and what they want. It's really sad that so many women are attracted to this kind of manipulative behavior from male psychopaths among us but that's the way of the world. I would think that the goal of men subscribed to this subreddit would be to take on as many Dark Triad attributes as possible without devolving into the type of man that will walk out on his family because he's "bored" or the type of man that will seriously hurt women psychologically and emotionally just so that he can get laid. Dark Triad knowledge should be used for attracting women before all else. What you choose to do as a grown man once you have a woman attracted to you as a consequence of understanding Dark Triad traits and behaving in such a manner is entirely up to you. I would hope that most men here would use such knowledge and consequent power for noble, good, or respectable purposes but that decision is yours to make and not mine.

[–]humpaa 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Just curious, but what purpose would a person who scores high in all aspects of the dark triad, need to share his elements and information?

Wouldn't that be against all his goals and strategies, to have more people aware?

Are you sure you're dark triad? You're clinically psychopathic? What I said holds true, don't think I've ever known one to care about their humanity or at least demonstrate that by not mercilessly fucking people over.

Women act on their whims and can be ridiculously cruel bitches, and it doesn't occur to them that they're being psychopathic. The way many of the subscribers here look at this is "don't hate on the scorpion for biting you, that's what he does.

I wouldn't say their behaviour is psychopathic because they are capable of feeling guilt, it is just so incredibly irrational that in the moment they perform whatever terrible deed it is, they're not guilty in the moment because they have so many other emotions taking up the space in their psyche, after-the-fact they try to maintain their own well-being via hamstering, however YOU CAN make them feel guilty which is essentially the differentiation between psychopathy and irrationalism, a psychopath actually can't feel guilty, an irrational person will simply avoid the thought processes of allowing themselves to feel guilty, and if they do feel guilty, they will rationalise to themselves by getting the support of others that their guilt is unwarranted.

My hunch is that most narcissistic people, the stupid/petty ones anyway, fall more within the second category.

Clinically narcissistic people like to demonstrate their superiority, that's the simplest way I can put it.

Or does "narcissism" imply the part of "being too invested in what they think and manipulating that"?

If it's a high value target then sure they want to make sure that person perceives them in a certain way so they can derive benefit, otherwise they give no fucks of said persons opinion, links in with the machiavellianist component.

GirlWritesWhat had a piece where she said that women, solipsistic as they tend to be, think that if they were better than men, they would oppress them. And she goes on to say that the "patriarchy" is just a projection of what they would do, if they were men.

That's extremely interesting and I think you're right, women aren't benevolent or romantic for shit, men are.

So... If psychopathy means the triad can't be learned... What's the fucking point?

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan[S] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

You can learn narcissism and machiavellianism but not psychopathy. 2/3 isn't bad.

[–]the99percent1 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Actually, I believe you can learn to be a psychopath.

Its all about moral high ground and what you believe is ethically acceptable. This compass can shift depending upon perspective and circumstances.

And when you seriously analyze your objective and goals, then you might be more willing to take the shorter, less ethical route to achieving your goals.

Thats what psychopathy is all about. Having a bigger perspective and realizing what you do today, at this instance is acceptable as long as you are progressing towards your goals.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

My opinion on psychopathy comes from a case study done on a banker where they did MRIs to see the neural connections in his brain. I could have cited the source, but I've forgotten it (it was a while ago I saw the documentary)

I still stand by the notion psychopaths have nothing to feel, whilst those who attempt to train themselves are simply going through desensitisation.

EG: A psycho doesn't need to desensitise themselves to violence whereas someone in training would, they'd have to do it repeatedly to get a similar but weaker outcome.

[–]the99percent1 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Was the banker being shown images of violent acts during the MRI scan?

Actually a banker is a great example of trained sociopathy. Everything they do in Their profession, they have a wider picture view or a longer term objective in their mind. They would have also been trained how to quickly rationalize a wrong doing (aka hamstering). Its part of their daily job as a banker.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No he was being asked personal questions and the thing that upset him the most activated narcissism but not actual emotional pain.

[–]the99percent1 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

No surprise there.. Have you ever worked as a wall street trader/banker?

A banker usually is your typical frat boy douchebag . now imagine said douche earning alot of money doing something where they train you to think you are the most superior being in the world.

They believe in this way of thinking and there's real positive feedback.

Its like religion. There is no God and prophet Muhammad is just a man. Watch as how I have triggered the same narcissistic reaction from those who believe in religion. You can do an MRI scan on this, and you'd see the same parts of the brain light up for sure. There's no emotional pain when I say something like that. But the religious people will feel superior to me.

Very interesting comparison. Yeah I've noticed muslims and far right christians have a pronounced tendency to feel and behave morally superior to others. You can also see it outside religion in class structures, bankers and other amoral people of great status and wealth demonstrate the same tendencies as the zealots/devoutly religious do.

[–]Howmydiktaste69 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I had a hard time getting past the poor grammar, but the author brings up some interesting points.

I also question whether or not narcissism can be learned or merely replicated.

[–]the99percent1 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Narcissistic personality can be faked until you make it.

You need to adopt a superiority complex and ability to argue your point to death.

You need to internalize the feeling of every persons opinion on any subject matter brings a huge distaste in your mouth (lol @ ur username). Have counter arguments to every POV and dont be afraid to state them out and get into the habit of debating. Smash them with the feeling that they are inadequate.

Eventually, youll see everyone else as beneath you. Even when there are people on paper better and more experienced than you. Doesnt matter, you will feel more superior than them.

[–]TRP VanguardVZPurp 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These are the most annoying people to fucking deal with.

Nonetheless, if you're reasonably intelligent, it multiplies your success, because you come off as incredibly convincing to people who don't know any better.

[–]Howmydiktaste69 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think you can really fake being a narcissist. You can be arrogant to the point of being cocky, or be egotistical, but narcissism is coupled with a lack of empathy. It is not a learned behavior; rather it is a personality disorder.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan[S] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Apologies, I wrote this quite late at night and simply was too fatigued to give it proper grammar proofreading, I shall make adjustments now to make it a better flowing read.

EDIT: Done. Thanks for the feedback.

[–]LouisWinthorpIII 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I never understood the dark triad. Having confidence and being assertive are important to realizing your goals. But the dark triad? Why do guys try to emulate it? Yeah girls dig that shit supposedly, but you'll die one miserable bastard.

[–]the99percent1 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because dark triad tendencies reflects mostly upon women's character.. If you dont understand that.. Then why bother posting on TRP??

Why do you think they can hamster the shit out of any fucked up situation?

Why do you think women can lie, deceive and manipulate like it comes second nature to them?

Why do you think the famous saying 'you can't trust a dog, but you can trust a dog to be a dog' likes to be quoted in RP?

So when a man who comes along and displays a mirror image of their character, Suddenly you are more attractive than 99% of other men. 'He understands me'. Well duh, he is just mirroring your behavior!

men are creatures of honor and integrity. We have been trained to be gentlemanly. A dark triad guy is the total opposite of that. And just being different separates you from the pack. That is inherently attractive to a woman, even the good ones.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan[S] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

As like most of my articles, it's pretty lengthy.

This article looks at what the dark triad is. The follow-up piece will be about how you can incorporate elements of the triad to improve yourself. I could have made the follow-up one article with this, but then it'd be even longer than it is in its current form.

The intellectuals among us should enjoy the read, as for the rest, there's no TLDR so you should give it a miss.

[–]No_DOX_for_you 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Loved it. He brings up a great point. If you're not a true Sociopath no amount of desensitization is going to make you one. You can fake your way into it but the emotional damage WILL consume you and ultimately leave you miserable.

With that said though, I've always thought of the Dark Triad as a sort of cheat code that you can use when you absolutely have to. In certain circumstances it can be a useful short term strategy for you to adopt the dark arts. As a whole, however, it's best to keep your humanity intact.

Edit: You* bring up a great point.

[–]TRP VanguardVZPurp 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

However, you can train your ability to turn off emotional input. This does not consume you, nor does it destroy your humanity. I'd say it's part of the essence of becoming a [masculine] man.

[–]BIG_Daddy_Government 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i like the improvement for your website, keep it up!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Please post it on this subreddit when you have made the next part, I loved this!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Hm, interesting article. All three aspects seem to fit me quite well, but I do differ a bit from the person he's describing there.

While I don't really have feelings that would prevent me from doing "something horrible", I'm guided by morals. Morals that I don't base on feelings either, but on logic and the possible results of my actions instead. I don't think most of the dark trid people are the way this guy describes them. Just because you're not being stopped by your own conscience, doesn't mean that you just abuse everybody you know and don't give a shit about anybody.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan[S] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A lot of people have dark triad traits but aren't dark triad, they think the traits they have which are pronounced make them dark triad when they're not, because say they're very manipulative and egotistical, but usually they're borderlines.

Are you psychopathic, do you experience a massive lack of empathy for anyone and everything regardless of who they are? Say, you had kids you wouldn't care about them, or care about your own parents? In a fucked up way you would care about them, but that wouldn't stop you selling them out if you had to for yourself. Psychopaths are not sacrificial people, they are inherently selfish to a point of extremism.

I've known many borderlines but I've only ever known 2 people who were fully dark triad, as to say that they were both psychopathic also. One was a woman, the other a man. Women nearly ALWAYS supplement their triad with their sexuality from my and others I know experiences, it ties in with the narcissism, men can do it, but don't always (again, anecdotal evidence, dark triads are incredibly rare to find in the field.)

After reading this, I realized that my last girlfriend before i went red pill was actually a full on dark triad. Is this a rarer combination in females or more common. Hmm. Holy shit shoulda ran at the beginning, although to be fair i wasnt aware of psychopath at that point.
