If this is how you see TRP then you obviously haven't done much reading, especially the material on the sidebar. You are misunderstanding virtually everything. This sub is NOT about hating women or trying to hold them down in the workplace. It IS about understanding how both men and women work, what women really find attractive in a man, how to succeed at work, discussions on the blatant inequality feminism is pushing, among others topics. If you haven't realized this yet then you have not read nearly enough. Don't post, read, and let it sink in before posting so that you have some idea of what you're talking about.

Actually, I have read most of the sidebar and alot of the basic stuff. The most disturbing part is not in the side bar but in the comments of users, active ones with a lot of upvotes. I can't blame the trp as a whole because of some comments, but these type of things say alot about SOME people here.

The Redpill doesn't want women in burkas, or to unempower women. It only exists because women have been abusing their power and privileges in a society that refuses to even identify what that abuse looks like. If every man was Redpill, women wouldn't stop being sluts because it was illegal, they'd stop being sluts because the men around them would be smart enough to want nothing to do with them. The Redpill doesn't want to force women to stay out of the work place, it just acknowledges that there's nothing sexy about a woman who's trying to compete with men, or who prioritizes a meaningless career over her kids and family.

I'm on Android client so formatting isn't good.

"who prioritizes a meaningless career over her kids and family"

Sounds good to me but is it okay for a man to prioritize his career over his kids and family?

[–]changshuaidiao0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men don't have the same physical bond with their children and don't need to be around as much in a child's early development. One parent has to be gone, and considering we've got a few hundred thousand years of evolution in which the male has left to hunt, our reward centers in our brain or broadly more adapted to fill that role. If you've been around here actually reading, you'd have read any number of studies that show how miserable career women are.

sure. as long as he provides the money, why the fuck not?

high-income men (6+ digits) are typically not the ones delaying child birth and getting infertile before have reproduced. if they slaved away in their careers until they are in their mid thirties, they will be drowning in women that want to lock them down. career women in their mid thirties on the other hand...

think a moment about this. as much people wish men and women are equal - they simply are not.

[–]throwawayaccount20220 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I call bullshit on that. What kind of father makes his career more important than his kids and their well being? Is that a trp father?

[–]changshuaidiao0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The kind who has to work to provide for them, who's entire worth and value in they eyes of society and the mother of his child is tied to his ability to provide economically, and who lack the milk producing mammary glands that require him to be near his infant.

I'm really doubting you are who you say you are.

[–]HAMMURABl0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

please stick to your questions. you asked if it was okay from a TRP perspective, and i said it is justifiable.

[–]1rporion0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"ok" has nothing to do with it.

As Jack Welsh has said "there is no such thing as work-life balance. you make your decisions and you live with the consequences.".

Now, those consequences are not the same for men and women and they never will be.

[–]HS-Thompson0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am willing to believe you are not a troll.

It's all contextual. Despite the fact that people here preach the universality of TRP "truths" any rational participant would have to admit that this really is a commentary on the nature of gender roles in modern Western European based society.

You just may not have the proper context to evaluate it, to some extent you have to see it here to believe what's happened, that there is literally no shame left in female promiscuity, that women are wholly uninterested in being accountable for their actions, that the legal system and courts of public opinion have become so skewed. It's one thing to hear that it's true, another entirely to live within it.

It's entirely possible that this isn't really applicable to the environment you are in except on the margins. That's fine.

You'll occasionally read some schmuck here posting about how "men built civilizations" and that kind of bullshit. Is posing, nothing more. What you don't see here, simply because it doesn't fit into the context of the subreddit, is that we also praise successful women. Scientists, (good) politicians, engineers, etc. And by "we" I mean as an ideological collective. You'll always meet people who think women belong in the kitchen just as you'll always meet people who are racist or people who dislike children. That's just a fact of life. Despite all the posing here, most of us probably don't mind working with competent women.

TRP is, at its core, about self-improvement. A large part of that is accepting things for what they are (specifically, the nature of each individual gender). Sometimes people forget that because they're angry at the world they live in, nothing more, and the easiest way to lash out here is to demonize women. In reality, though, anybody who blames another person for their own shortcomings or tries to make themselves seem better by claiming others are worse hasn't learned a thing from the sidebar.

First off, this should be on PurplePillDebate. Posting it in TRP is concern trolling.

If you guys want women to stay at home and only men work, what kind of backward society is that? You guys want to ban women from developing the world?

Nope. We support their right to choose. We also support accountability and recognise that actions have consequences. If she wants to ride the Cock Carousel, I'm not going to stop her, but it will make her a less attractive marriage prospect to me.

We support equality before the law. We do not support special treatment for anyone. We support equality, but that means being given an equal start. Where you end up is entirely on you.

Men are superior and so

Most of the people saying that are newer members going through the anger phase. All that TRP has ever stated is that we are different. Yes, we, as men, think we're better than the women. The women think they're better than us? Why? Because we value different things.

come live in the middle east ... Heck you don't even need to convert

You can't be making a serious argument. Assuming that you are; I have better job prospects here, don't like hot countries, and prefer not being put to death for being an atheist. Also, I get sunburned really easily.

It's also explicitly not a "red pill" country. Women do not have the same rights as men. Gay people do not have the same rights as straight people. They are run by idiots who think that things that were written a milennium and a half ago are entirely valid today, even when invalidated by modern science. No thanks.

If I am misunderstanding anything I would be more than happy to be corrected.

You are misunderstanding a lot of TRP, and you obviously don't get that TBP distorts everything because it's hard to make fun of rational debate.

Some of the posts on this sub may be a little... extreme sounding. This is because that is how men communicate in an all-male environment. We like to be shocking, to push boundaries, to see just how far we can go. We like to test ourselves and others. A part of understanding TRP is being able to separate what people are actually saying from the hyperbole they're using for effect.

"if she wants to ride the cock carousel I won't stop her"

Maybe my intellectual skills aren't all that great but are you trying to link women having a career and moving on humanity with inventions and discoveries to riding the "cock carousel". That doesn't sound middle eastern at all to me hahaha

On a funny note (and a bit serious) a) you will likely have a higher paid job over here and they will like you even more when they take a peek at your trp attitude (serious). B) you won't be "hanged" for your believe as long as you don't walk shouting your belief in the street. C) don't worry about hotness, air-conditioning is everywhere and the night time is tolerable and it's redpill-er than any other place. So yeah you should seriously consider it.

Good luck

[–]2IVIaskerade0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

are you trying to link women having a career and moving on humanity with inventions and discoveries to riding the "cock carousel

No. If you had read the sidebar, you would know what the Cock Carousel is.

The CC is when a young woman decides to exercise her newfound freedom and go out, fuck a load of guys she barely knows (and has no intention of being in a relationship with), maybe do some "wild and crazy" things, and then spend the rest of her life pretending it never happened.

[–]throwawayaccount20220 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To begin with, this is not the stone age. I keep reading about evolution theories here more than anywhere. This is 21st century (although if you want to time travel, you're more than welcome here and I think you're evolutionary theories about women will be satisfied here), "beta" men can survive and people don't go out to hunt their food anymore. Therefore, if you're willing to accept the gender evolutionary roles (which are true, nothing against them) then you should accept that we are still evolving. So what was always true and necessary for human survival is not necessary now, therefore evolution.

[–]jcrpta0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think there's a few things to bear in mind.

Most of the writings on the sidebar are by men who have long learned to accept TRP teachings and are happy with who they are. The same, alas, can't be said for many of the men posting on here. This sub is absolutely chock-full of men who are more than a little bitter. They've been told for as long as they were old enough to understand spoken language that women want someone gentle, sensitive, thoughtful. They've spent years suppressing natural instincts in order to be what society tells them is a "better" man - as a result, they're not "better" men at all. They're resentful, twisted men who have been saying and doing what they think is "right" for years in the hope of getting female attention, and they've spent most of those years watching guys who stand for everything they're told to hate pulling girls left and right. It doesn't make any sense.

They think they've been a "nice guy" all these years. It's shocking - and somewhat embarrassing - to learn that no, you haven't been a nice guy. At best you've been sickening, at worst you've been creepy to the point of scary.

Taking myself as an example: I have over twenty years of post-puberty behavioural traits to deal with and re-learn. I've worked out that my dad was completely BP and ultimately, it killed his marriage, caused him to turn to the bottle and die. My own "nice guy" behaviour pushed more people away than it could ever have hoped to attract.

The comments on here that seem misogynistic and angry? Perfectly natural reaction to learning you've been lied to your entire life. You mustn't take them all literally. Most of them will (hopefully) calm down once they've learned to accept the world as it really is.
