This has all the elements - she's fat, takes disingenuous photos to hide this, and goes on a date. The guy really likes her personality and doesn't bullshit her when he says he's not attracted to her.

Lessons learned: 1: there are no right answers. He'd have been a pussy if he'd just not shown much interest and quietly dropped it, but saying how he honestly feels makes him a monster. If you're thinking there's a good strategy here, don't. Maintain frame and do what you will. 2: your perspective does not count.
