The 90s sucked. Slow, crappy and expensive internet. No cheap mobile devices. No cheap cellphones. No social media.

It was difficult trying to set up dates, if the girl lived with her parents then you where never sure if the parents told her you called. There was this thing called an answering machine, again same story.

With social media you can maintain some sort of a social life if you are in a remote area, before that your life just ground to a halt.

You puppies who complain about dating sites, meeting women on social media etc. I think those things are the greatest thing since slided bread. From messaging and looking at her facebook I can do a lot of preselection.

It all stated to go downhill then. That's when the feminism stated to infect the schools. I remember in 92 I was in 4th grade and they attempted to teach us sex ed.

The one good thing about the 90's is that electronic music was at its best. (i know, i know, im being off-topic here).

As for the issue of "extreme" feminist ideals, the decade of emergence was the 70s, and the 90s was simply the decade in which it had became fully concretized in western society.

Rose tinted glasses. I laugh my ass off at the retarded 1980s type shows which are the start of Generation X. Globalization started to take effect, coupled with the distruction of labour unions and worker rights. Massive amounts of unemployment. The destruction of the American dream.

Reagan at the time was not popular, but because of the way western democracy works, people like Thatcher and Reagan can win despite not having the majority of the vote.

Asswipes like Reagan and Thatcher saying the young where lazy and should get a job. There where no full time jobs. 20%+ fucking unemployment in some places.

Because of this, economically a lot of generation X got a late start. If I did not move to Asia I would not have a house that is paid for and mine.

I was only a kid at the time (ages 8-18), but people were less obnoxious, no cell/texting/selfies, things were more direct and more mature. No internet dating (good thing or bad thing?). Feminism was definitely on the rise, the anti-date rape campaign was in full swing, and men didn't have organized Game to counter any of this. Maybe it's just because they're older now, but gen-Xers do strike me as less ridiculous than millenials for sure, however they didn't have the tools (online dating, cell/texting, game, etc) that we have today that can get us above the fray.

Try the 1940's that's the last time things were good.

WWII was a horrible experience for the world and men came back different than they left.

They were the "Greatest Generation".

By 1960 things were already going downhill rapidly.

I'm 53 years old and watched the decline my whole life.

Get to know a very old person (80+) you will learn a lot by talking with them.

Maybe a little bit. But there was no TRP, so for you it would be a whole lot worse.

I think the 90s were when things started to go downhill. I was getting laid with moderate frequency, despite being being beta. But I never found a good woman. I just hadn't unplugged so my dumb ass kept looking for that unicorn.

However I consider it a positive that the internet wasn't what it is now, that cell phones were crap, and that Facebook, Tinder, etc. didn't exist. You actually had to go out and be social to meet someone and you didn't have all these fucked up buffers.
