What do you guys think specifically about Mark Manson's perspective on being vulnerable? Seems to clash a little bit with some of TRP.

Maybe a bit, but his vulnerability is basically just outcome independence. It's packaged up in a way that is palatable to blue pillers, but if you otherwise accept TRP and reject the prevalent social fictions about women and relationships, you'd probably act the same way.

You open yourself up to rejection by her through making your intentions clear and being open about wanting her, but you do it in a way that shows you are not invested in her response (in a sense that you aren't deriving validation from her positive response). Basically shows you DGAF about her opinion, which shows you don't rely on others for your confidence.

Manson's vulnerability isn't about telling your GF about crying in front of your girlfriend or telling her you are afraid of dying.

It's about taking risks, being willing to tell a woman you're interested in her or go for a kiss at the risk of being rejected, or putting your true self out there (being congruent) because you don't want to date a girl who isn't into the real you (example: if you are into tabletop gaming, don't hide your Warhammer collection. If she doesn't like it, she can fuck off)

Not really a conflict. TRP is about reality. The reality is that full on asshole game gets you laid. The reality is also that you need some vulnerability/beta/whatever you want to call it for any LTR.

He suggests introducing 'vulnerability game' WAY earlier than I would but even for a ONS you need some 'comfort.'

I'm upvoting this because I've seen a lot of people asking similar questions or stating outright that Manson is BP. The other comments in this thread are great rebuttals to this and I think more people should realize this.
