Theredpill is about self improvement, thats why I feel like this post belongs here.

I've been thinking about it for a while but haven't got to a decision yet on what my bachelors degree should be in. I would like your input. (Disclaimer: I live in the Netherlands)

My goals:

  • after doing some work, start my own business(es)

  • after that maybe go into (b2b, not necessary though) consulting

The list to pick from:

  • Applied Physics (Technical University, so there are lots of nerds. High job security, at TU/e)

  • Econometrics and Operations Research (Business School, international, English speaking, it will make me more social because there are a lot of "alphas" (non STEM, like law) instead of "betas" (STEM), Extremely high well paying job security, at Maastricht University)

  • Physics (and Astronomy) (a lot of "alphas" but I'll mostly hang around with the faculty ("betas"), somewhat average job security but this is the most theoretical study, so my analytical skills will be sought after by many companies outside of the physics world, at Radboud University)

Note: alpha and beta is here used to indicate the course direction, NOT if people are alphas or betas at a certain college.

What is the smart choice here, and why?
