I was replying to a comment from iamanalterror on my post about assuming women want your dick, but the reply leads me to a post-worthy obvservation that hopefully you all have read about on here or seen yourself.

"Here's my question: Won't(sic) be embarrassing and reputation damaging to assume everyone wants your dick, if they don't? If a woman thinks you think she wants your dick, won't that just make her think you're insecure?"

The answer is almost always no, she won't think you're insecure, as long as you seem genuine in that belief. If you are simultaneously showing signs of insecurity and talking as if you're hot shit, the conflicting signals could very well result in a creepy, "awkward" impression. Or it could work, wtf do I know.

SMV is relative. In the land of the obese, the only slightly overweight girl rules.

"I wouldn't sleep with you if you were the last man on earth" is an insult because it suggests copulation wouldn't be an option, even if the man's relative SMV was incalculably high due to having the only dick in the world.

Not only is SMV relative, it also is subject to variation when it comes to one person's attraction to you.

We frequently see on here stories about guys' perceived SMV dropping (i.e. Divorce), but a woman's estimation of his SMV can actually rise just as quickly.

We don't see this as much for two reasons: 1-Raising one's own SMV is more difficult than lowering it, and 2-When there is an initial lack of attraction, it is generally counterproductive to continue pursuing that same woman (oneitis/scarcity mentality).

Your perceived SMV (arguably all SMV is perceived SMV) can increase gradually if you get in shape, but it can skyrocket instantly through convincing displays of pre-selection, social proof, etc.

Women like muscularity and money, sure. But consider social status among men.

If a man can influence other men, and she can potentially influence that influential man, then she stands to indirectly benefit from the protection and resources of many men. This is why status can sometimes outweigh other factors, like being a fugly scurv (lucky me). It's a huge evolutionary advantage.

Alternatively, seeing other women's IOIs can jump start a woman's attraction level. That's because those other women, hypothetically, might know something about you that she doesn't. They may know that you are rich, or were born with two gigantic black penises even though you're a white dude.

In this way, a woman will infer your worth, albeit subconsciously, through other's perception of you.

Your view of yourself, however, is the strongest predictor of others' view of you.

Thats because folks' self esteem is shaped largely by how others treat them. If everyone you know tells you are awesome, then you will probably believe it, and those people, not so coincidentally, probably benefit your survival in one way or another.

A woman, as a matter of survival, will rely heavily on a man's resources and social status, especially after you squirt your demon spawn inside her. And so she makes the connection of: He thinks he's a badass -> Other people must have convinced him he's badass -> If they think he's a badass, then he probably is -> If I let him splooge in my rectum, then I can benefit directly from his badassery, as well as indirectly from others who hold him in high esteem.
