Only people who are blind to power and the way it determines every single human interaction can take the concept of equality seriously.

I remember when I was into political philosophy, you know, trying to determine what's the most just system of government and all that. Then I learned more about how the world actually works and now I just focus on making friends and making money.

You answered your own question - they've been lied to by the media, (sometimes) their parents, the school system, their peers. They grow up thinking the world is one way when it is in fact another.

Just remember high school / middle school and you will know why. It is a brutal environment driven by ancient instincts, really like a caveman tribe, where the alpha boys clearly and often ruthlessly dominate, the girls want only them, the alpha boys, the jocks often bully and give wedgies to the betas, the geeks and all that. It is very, very hard for the beta geek to gather his confidence and even try to compete - that would be very often met by a punch to the nose for forgetting his place. When even a death metaller guy (i.e. geek) once had you thrown to the wall by the throat, you know you are beta.

Later on in life as the geek earns some money and gains some respect at the workplace and social status, and the jock gets humiliated by having to pay child support and working as a truck driver, it is easier for beta geeks to gather confidence and try to compete.

At any rate, the high school / middle school experience is so traumatic to beta geeks that the wishful thinking is very strong that school was just an abomination and in adult life women expect equality/niceness.

Actually this is somewhat true. Compared to the high scool environment, the alpha bullies, the top girls throwing so nuclear shit tests that our testicles felt crunched, verbally, the whole intensely competitive environment a 35 years old guy dating or living in relationship with a 30 years old woman is a significantly more civilized relationship, that is more closer to, but of course still not there, to equality.

That is because men with each other get closer to equality as they age and this necessarily influences the relationship with women. I mean the beta geek became a respected software developer, the alpha jock in worst case a truck driver in the best case a sales manager who if he wants a sales report to be coded by the programmer he needs to give a respectful request. So it gets more equalized, and women are no longer so clear about which guy is bigger and how much, the hypergamy after 30 gets for this reason more watered down.

Of course it cannot get fully there, because the basic roles are complementary, not equal. But yes, it gets not so intense as in high school, in my experience.

I think the type you mentioned thinks that the necessary mellowing of it all as people get older means it entirely goes away which is not true.

Like most lies that manage to get sold to the public in general, the blue pill lies started small from intellectual circles, and grew because the general public wants to believe the exception rather than the rule. Exceptions are interesting and worth living. The rule is boring, traditional, and not noteworthy. No one cares if you are a career father with a stay-at-home mom, that's so 1950s, everyone's done it. But everyone wants to know what your life is like if you're a high-power-corporate lesbian couple with two artificially inseminated kids. In short, humans are fashionable and will act herd-like in the absence of masculine values whether they admit it or not.

Blue Pill Men believe in equality because on the surface it's completely rational. Women and Men share 99% of their DNA (probably more), there's no major differences in body or brain structure (structure, not activity) besides size, weight, and energy use. It's easy to convince anyone that everything a man can do, a woman can do. In 99% of all employment, this is true. The seduction comes in the form of believing and living in a belief structure that is very rational, and is noteworthy. All humans are susceptible to this, it's why cults are generally easy to form in a stable, developed society. The old Chinese proverb of "may you live in interesting times" comes into play here, more as a warning than a blessing. Chaotic times are often filled with more rational behavior from the herd than times of peace.

The best thing you can do to red-pill most males is... set the world into turmoil. I'm not kidding. It's been 72 years since the last major war, the human race is due for some form of herd-thinning (as horrendously cold as that sounds). That thinning could be in the form of war, it could be disease, it could be natural disaster, it could be anything, but it is inevitable that something will happen again to re-orient natural gender roles. History shows this. Basic biological survival demands this. Humanity is due for a slap to the face that brings the true difficulties of survival to the fore again, it re-values men and masculine values to preserve ways of life.

I, personally, was hoping that significant investment in human space exploration might stave off another herd thinning. Opening up a new frontier is about the only alternative to war/pestilence/etc... Mankind was at it's best when it was populating the Americas because all masculine values were in demand and valued. More importantly, all men who felt slighted or wronged by the feminized and civilized society could remove themselves from society and do just fine, in fact, better than fine. Some of them literally struck it rich.

So, there's your two options. Masculine values are only truly valued when survival situations exist for humanity. The earth is conquered, there is nothing left to explore here. This planet will continue to become more comfortable and tame for the ladies so long as war and pandemics are averted/avoided. The only final option in that case is, frankly, space exploration.

Yes, I know I sound crazy.
