There's a pretty interesting book I stumbled upon called "Unnatural Selection" that has some huge RP implications. The basic idea is the genetic traits of geeks and nerds (i.e. beta men) were once bad traits to have, in evolutionary terms, but since the environment has changed so drastically as a result of technological advancement, beta traits are now far more valuable to society as a whole than traditional alpha traits. Hence: "Geeks will inherit the earth."

Let me put it this way, if technology had been a 'thing' in human society for the entire duration of human evolution, men like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates would be sexual icons. Weird thinking about them in that way, right?

The big problem (of course we all know at TRP) is that our biological evolution is not at the same pace as our technological evolution. If it was, women would be attracted to abstract thinkers (like geeks and nerds). Instead, the opposite is true. Women are attracted to traditional alphas, i.e. men who are now at the bottom of the rung (in their capacity to gather resources).
