Are there any scientific studies that argued "sex differences are a social construct" in the first place? I thought that pernicious idea came from feminism, which, of course, did no such scientific studies.

Of course sex differences are biological. You think 3000 years of civilization is going to wipe out hundreds of thousands of years of evolutionary cues? Ridiculous.

The article does no such thing. These are 30-36 month old primates. Thats like asking a kindergartener if he prefers a barbie or a truck. Maybe pre K

How about this study dealing with 3- and 4-month-olds?

See Baron-Cohen's experiments with day 1 newborns.

You're right. The article doesn't state that. The paper which it's talking about does. Maybe if you read into things a little more, you'd have seen that.

I did read the article which is why I posted.

Why do we need someone else to read into things for us? Are we not equipped with the mental faculties to make our own decisions on the data?

If a group of 30-36 month old chimps show gender differences is it due to biology, socialization, both, or we dunno? I don't need a PhD scientist to tell me, though we should appreciate there opinion. That's a lot of time for socialization to take root.

But it doesn't really matter, does it? It doesn't matter if we were made by Jesus or by chance, if we're like this due to culture or biology. All that matters is that we can reproduce results.
