Hi girls, first I just want to say I’m new here and so far I love having a community of women to vent to about dating woes we ALL face, I love your confidence, FDS Queens. Essentially, I’m frustrated with the general hookup culture promoted by my age group and on university campuses. Guys only seem to want ONE THING from me and it’s very frustrating. I’m yet to lose my virginity because I don’t want to sleep with a guy outside of the context of a committed relationship where I don’t benefit (part of this is also for religious reasons on saving yourself for marriage which I am sometimes conflicted about). And if there’s one mistake I’ll never make again upon reading this subreddit - it’s trying to compensate or give men an inch when they take a mile. In the past, I would see no problem sexting men for fun but then wonder why they ghosted me quickly after. I guess what I’m trying to ask for is some guidance, encouragement and honest advice on how to navigate men who just want sex at this age and beyond. All advice is appreciated❤️
