Hi ladies I need some help. My best friend has just gotten engaged to a NVM. They dated in high school and got into heroin together. They broke up and she got clean eventually and many years went by.

A few years ago they got back in contact while she was with a different abusive NVM. They began an affair. She eventually broke up with abusive nvm and moved states to get away. The new NVM did not end his relationship with his then current fiancée and mother of his child.

He began using heroin again and took money from my friend to get some. He then ghosted her. She told me, I reached out to the fiancée at the time via Facebook. Fiancée dumped him immediately and moved out of their shared apartment.

Nvm then offered to PAY my friend to have her call fiancée and tell her it was all a lie and they were never together. My friend refused. He then started laying it on thick because my friend was obviously the back up plan.

She takes him back. He cheats on her with a stripper. He hasn’t seen or tried to see his son in years, never paid child support, is now denying the child is his entirely.

That brings us to today when I get a text saying they’re engaged. My question is what can I do to wake her up? How can I break through to her that he is literally worthless?

I realize there is a lot of pick me going on here, but this has been my best friend for 20 years.
