This year I told my partner I didn't need anything, although I chose to get him several gifts that he didn't expect but that he wanted or needed (socks, phone as his is years old and dying, helmet visor for his motorbike helmet as new ones are nice). He's not a gift person, for anyone, including himself - if I hadn't bought those things he would have waited as long as possible. I can't recall the last time he spent money just on himself - he very rarely does.

I did realise however after the fact that I wished I'd had some stuff to pamper me - the problem is, he can't know because I don't even know. Most of my life I've put myself last, and as between us we have five kids, that's much the same. He encourages me to take time for myself, while he looks after the kids, or get stuff I like, but I find it hard as I often feel wasteful or frivolous buying things for me (and since I don't know what I want, he can hardly know, especially when it's quite likely he's in the spectrum and so would do almost anything for me but *only when I ask him so he knows what to do *.

So, anyway, I was hoping you could share things you gift yourself (especially if you're a mum and also have next to no time alone!!). I'd start with : - kindle books (I love reading) - night serum (I don't wear makeup on my skin or have a skin care regime, but having used loccitaine samples it feels so luxurious to do!) - silk pj set (sexy nighties are impractical and uncomfortable, self I run hot at night, so I thought a silk pj set might be nice?)

Please, share the gifts you get yourselves with me!
