Fellow ladies of FDS,

For several reasons I won’t be mentioning, I don’t particularly enjoy being around my boyfriend’s family.

They lack poise and despite having barely met me, they never tried to be gentle around me. Its as if I dont matter around them. My boyfriend was never treated this way at my home. My mother might be a piece of work but she even gets my boyfriend his favorite dessert everytime he is invited to dinner.

We are heading towards a future together, but they have said (in front of me) that they wont contribute financialy to anything. They aren’t well off, but they arent poor either. Even towards their son I believe they are desperate for him to just leave and get it over with.

They arent terrible, but I know I will never enjoy being around them as we come from different planets. I dont even know how my partner is their son. Today he apologized in case I might not like something about them. I have no words. I’m even doubting the future of our relationship.

What do you all think? How do you handle low value families? Or not…?
