So I have always been hard working, so we're did that stem from....

After reading No More Mr Nice Guy. I had hard reflection upon myself. Some were hard to take especially after pulling of a miracle when taking on the role of Best man for My Friend. Some of the decisions I made set me back so far financially but on the front looking in they didn't see the sacrifice I had to make financially and mentally when difficult situations arose but being the hard working man's man, I had to keep it under wraps and do what was right for others and worrying what people may think If i had failed.

Fortunately during this 10 month period in my life. I had took on the responsibilities of being a first time home buyer and accepting a promotion at my long term place at work from the factory floor to senior management level.

I have never been focused on Money ,just walking away with a honest value of hard work, testament to why I found love in when in the Gym hitting the Iron. Also a fond fan of the arts of Goalkeeping (soccer) fortunately enough, never good enough for a team but when that chance came up I grabbed at it, at a higher level than anyone could imagine and found out that ....a fan I should of stayed.Realising some of my childhood heroes roles was a postion I no longer interested me or enjoyed but loved never the less.

In my childhood growing up it was pretty simple , I wasn't bullied and actually pretty popular or known locally for good or bad (honest man likes a Lager)

But going back to the roots of were it all began I really do think it stems from the fact that I was slightly retarded as a kid but I had to overcome that. I couldn't understand letters or numbers I was Severely dyslexic. I eventually could learn through the fact that one of my teachers was an angel before her time. I eventually got level with society when leaving primary school only failing to learn the multiplication tables and *reiterating the alphabet after "P" also *reiterating the months after August.

But it all got to me to this point. The realisation of what you have, what you need, what you value. So I guess all I'm trying to say is just because you reach your goals doesn't mean you'll like them.

After taking on the role of a Goalkeeper for a struggling lower national league team, I served the role with dignity and pride to the point were my body was disintegrating fastly I couldn't hold up the role any longer it was killing me slowly the long hours away. The love faded with the body. My gloves were hooked up for good. The appreciation for the game just enhanced.

Filling the role as Best man. The Friend was and is a friend but truly I really think he was never my best friend just a close friend but I did serve him like a Best friend never the less. Serving the role through a life set up/changing experiences (Job promotion/1st house). It was difficult and when flights were cancelled for the "stag do" and risk of total cancellation after multiple pullouts ,I wrongly felt the need to save the day out my own pocket. Then to finish the role off on the wedding night it was nice to get a standing ovation and multiple laughs and crys in all the good places.

Then serving my work (current food factory) for the last 15 years (prior job failed bricklayer) that seen me from a temporary worker scraping the hours right up the cooperate ladder to management sending emails organising a factory of 40 to 50 staff per 8 hour shift, staff directing roles and health and safety procedures and risk acessments, reporting general incidents and taking board meetings. But after taking this role on for the last year I have found that even though the money was ridiculous good and I was working the same hours with less manual work. I had to hand in my 2 month notice on the promotion as I just didn't like the job.

When younger I had always had issues. I walked about with the right people, I walked with the wrong people and experienced it all but not without its falls and impacts. During my younger partying days I had damaged my body to the degree were I was about 123 pounds under 9 stone. I had reached rock bottom. This is were my friend came in, he introduced me to the gym. And after taking the reigns from him, 5 years later I would become a mass monster weighing 200 pounds (over 14 stone) And during that time I felt the happiest and healthiest.

So you can reach your goals and you can learn from your goals. But if you never reach your goals you'll never know if it's for you. Just because your The man, doesn't mean I'm your man.
