NOTE: All of this is happening really fast and I need to start putting rp concept in action right damn now.

First post here. 40 years old, married w/ kids, dead bedroom and relationship. Been absorbing RP concepts for a few years now but I was too faggot to start putting them into practice. Until a few days ago Mrs. Bongo drops the "separation" thing on me. She's been dealing with depression and anxiety most of her life and it's been getting worse for the last half year -- which I think spurned this idea on. She said outright that a lot of how she feels has to do with her mental issues.

I let her have her spiel -- she feels unappreciated taking care of the kids all the time, her weight, she always does things to make others happy, all that. She also said she saw a few emails where I flirted with a mutual friend of ours -- unintended dread game initiated -- and it made her upset. I told her she shouldn't blame me since she denies basic affection to me all the time. She seemed to agree. I didn't act butthurt, try to defend myself, or otherwise get worked up. I'm pretty calm as it is so it wasn't hard for me.

I told her the only thing I can help her with is her weight -- she's not super heavy but she went from a 8.5/9 to a 6 after we got married. Shocker, there. Going to do meal planning with her and work out with her. I said I couldn't help with her mental issues ... that's between her drugs and therapist. I made it very clear that she has to follow my lead in this or it won't work, and she was into the idea. She felt better after the conversation.

But what I know I need to do is captain/alpha provider the hell out of her and the family, hold frame through her storms, outcome independence. I just can't tell if I'm ready or not ... which means I'm not ready, but I'm not given that option right now. Do or die, right?

EDIT since I first wrote this: Mrs. Bongo made it clear to me that she's not going to engage in any physical touching. At all. This shit is real and I need to fix this before it's too late. The one positive in all of this right now is that she's somewhat more pleasant to be around than usual.

CURRENT STATS

Lifting: Been doing this for years, in A-minus shape. I've plateaued the last year so I plan on getting more weights to up my game.

Career: Family breadwinner in a solid STEM field and company. Been starting to up my game in general at work to get those promotions. Still need to do more.

Game: Not my strongest. Been flirting -- see above -- and starting conversations with people at random, to get more comfortable. Typically introverted, so it's hard breaking the bad habits that come with that.

Fashion: B/B+, normally dress business casual -- NOT dork-ass business casual. Going to buy some suits and nicer shoes soon.

Reading: As said above, reading The Game, and going for MMSL, TRM, NMNN next.

Misc: Canceled porn subscription, not looking back. Going to start no fapping, which will be hard since I'm high T -- but I know I need the dick energy to smash my goals to bits. Only action I get will be with Mrs. Bongo. EDIT: "DICK ENERGY" is my goal phrase.
