Although it is not an argument, you are trying to win the discussion. She feels beaten because you won't let go of your view, wrong or right.
Learn that she is operating on feelz, you on logic. The two are like oil and water, they don't mix.
Other than a little oneites it sounds pretty normal, relationships aren't static but change mood continuesly.
Remove your time if she is shitty, go work on your longboat.

You think too highly of yourself, your wife, and your "knack" for being able to "say the right things and play the right cards at the right time" in the game of minor conflict resolution. Less talk, more action.
