https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_flu
Today I learned that this is a 'thing'. I woke up in the morning, throat sore and generally feeling like shit. Told my wife about it, drank some tea, went back to bed. After I'd already slept ~12h straight.
Woke up after another 6hrs or so, got out to get some food, ate, back to bed to sleep. Later, she comes to bed, lays some comment about manflu on me, which I ignore. Again, not having the faintest idea about what the fuck this thing is. Now I've looked it up, and it's some pretty fucking disrespectful shit. I'm also quite sure that this is being talked of with her friends, maybe even introduced by one of her friends to her. This rustles my jimmies, too.
I did not make a huge deal out of this. Told her I'm feeling sick, popped a pill and slept when my body required it.
I'm thinking between ignoring it or confronting her about it. Confronting would entail letting her know that I don't appreciate what she said to me ("Aww, you have the manflu?"), and then removing affection if she doesn't apologize. I can do that.
I think these are the two most valid approaches, but I'm also fairly certain this has come up with others before. I'd appreciate thoughts on how to go about this.
