My dad had a near fatal accident this afternoon just in front of me. The rescue took over an hour even though we were a few hundred metres from the centre of the ski area and over 20 resort staff were involved. He is now in a community "hospital" in a rural town in Bulgaria with no supervision or even doctors with a fractured cervical vertebra, a fractured and a broken metacarpal and a possible ruptured renal cyst (lost in translation).
My wife also had an accident in the same place but escaped with only superficial facial lacerations and a sprained leg.
Both careered head first down an ice slope into a safety fence. At one point I thought they were both seriously injured, possibly on their way to death.
I'm in a country where I don't speak the language and there is a definite culture of don't care.
I know I should be a stoic oak but all I want to do is let it out like Cornelius into Bob's bitch tits. It's been a long and emotional day. Calling my dad's fiancée and his sisters to let them know what was happening was especially difficult. Having a few beers has helped.
My question is under what circumstances is it acceptable to be emotional in front of my wife?
