Being nice is something stupid people do to hedge their bets

Been ill this week, so have been pretty out of it, sleeping 16+ hours per day. Have been trying to keep on top of stretches and healthy eating but nothing else much to report. No sex obviously.

Yeah, my wife is serious baggage. I didn't realise it until it was too late, her PTSD came on bit by bit. But we are here now and I need to learn how to deal with it. This is my lot in life and if I can't get on with it and sort through the problems then how am I going to deal with the next one? Telling her to leave might solve some isuues but to me that is like running away. I'm not going to learn anything or grow from the experience. Again, I'm not trying to complain but to explain the situati…

She hates her family and living in the UK was terrible for her. She spent 23hr per day in bed or lging on the sofa. She has improved a lot since getting here.

Explanation: unfortunately I am in a country where you don't just solve problems. Its not a question of submitting paperwork and you get your paperwork. I have spoken to two lawyers, an accountant and the Head of the department for foreigners in my area. And they 1. don't have a clue what I'm talking about and 2. All come up sith completely different ways to resolve the problem. Defend: normally when my wife is with me I do everything, it is only when she is on her own that she has real trouble.…

And I fucked my wife, left her lying, moaning on the bed saying what have you don't to me, had a shower and went to a eine tasting with a friend and drank three glasses of wine. I'm 100% happy with that scenario.

I don't have PTSD, my wife does. She can't learn Spanish because her mind is so fucked she can't remember anything and whenever she tries the locals just inject with "que", so half the time she ends up crying when trying to order a coke. I don't think saying learn Spanish or I'm divorcing you will help. Honestly if you can think of anything that might help please let me know because I have tried everything short of hiring a Peruvian to follow her around speaking only in Spanish. And yeah, it was…

No, her behaviour has been bad for a while, previously she just slept and moped around most of the time. But she has been getting progressively worse, which she put down to having a copper coil. Now that that has been taken out she says she is feeling a bit better but her behaviour is still bad. Yes she is extra stressed and possibly tired but the tiger stays in the cage around anyone else. Regards moving we have just moved there from the other side of the world and put all savings into buying t…

What am I meant to do, tell her to shut up and destroy her self esteem. I am mainly ignoring her or trying to change the subject. Or going to do something else.

I'd don't resent not receiving it, I do however resent her saying how shit small details are. Like going to a suite at a ***** hotel and complaining to me about the quality of the towels. Saying "wow, this is nice, thank you!" from time to time is normal isn't it? Instead of complaining and whinging. By living separately I mean sleeping in a different bedroom, going on holiday alone, etc.

So, didn't post last week. Things have been hectic as I have to reapply for mine and my wife's residency visa and nobody seems to know what the requirements are. Added to which a case that I put in against someone locally for attempted murder when he turned up at my property and pulled a knife out on my wife and I tried to stab us has been thrown out by the equivalent of the District attorney here. Physical: completed the 20 pull ups programme and then successfully did 20 in one go. Continuing w…

I know an incredibly successful English Lord who has a child that isn't his because his wife had an affair because he was working too hard. He raised it as his own and he and his wife are still together.

There are ceremonies which are like little plays, looking after the accounts, donating to charity caring, for ill members and keeping up with members widows. And eating, drinking and socialising afterwards.

The main thought I had this week was that leadership was letting me down. I am very introverted and like a lot of time to myself. But being with my wife 24 hours per day, I need to give her better leadership or she will, and does, start to act in an annoying fashion. As it is the middle of winter there is little that can be done outside so I am happy to stay indoors by the stove reading, taking the dogs for a short walk, cooking as required and doing my Stretching and workouts. But that isn't en…

So this is what I'm trying to work out, the difference between nice and kind. I'm not saying I please her 100% of the time, and I'm definitely trying to move away from being a Mr Nice Guy, but I'm also kind in the Buddhist / Stoic sense. If I can do something good for someone else and it's no skin off my nose then why not? I'm not one to keep score or say I'm only going to be nice if.... If I do something for her and she doesn't want to fuck me that's her loss. I'm doing it because that's who I …

As an addendum, my cousin is sickenly beta. He is a family lawyer at a firm in London well on his way to partnership. When I lived with him he met his now wife and she ghosted him and when she returned (with no explanation) he took her back. I asked him why he giggled during the vows and he said it was because they have a private joke that what is his is hers and what is hers is hers so he didn't need to say it. But now it's legal. At lunch the day after she sat on the opposite side of the room …

Physical - continuing with stretching and calisthenics. Feeling really amped after working out in a way that I never have after lifting weights, really restless, horny and confrontational. It's an uncomfortable but reassuring feeling, a little like being on cocine. Might need to break workouts into smaller chunks as triceps and calves are starting to cramp up all the time. Lots of drinking, which is the British way of doing things but it's starting to affect mood and drain motivation. Sex - once…

Had hoped for more than getting back from a meal to a nice hotel room and watching TV. And then being woken up by a couple fighting for hours. More sex as and when than ticked that box for the week. Which is not to say that it wasn't fun. With so many messages saying that men and women are equal and exactly the same it is sometimes hard to remember that we think completely differently. My idea of marriage was that we work hard to make life awesome for each other because we've committed to each o…

You can train and still be lean and strong but it seems like everything is advising that you train to get big. I'm trying to work out if training is the most important thing or being big is the most important thing.

What if gain g muscle goes against your mission? Say you wanted to be a marathon runner, looking like Arnie isn't going to help. You can be toned and athletic but is that still the same?
/r/TheRedPill30/05/18 12:06 AM

There is a lot of emphasis on lifting but what is the goal? Dedication and persistance? Muscle mass? Testosterone production? Fitness? A masculine environment. I don't really want to get big. I'm well muscled and athletic and strong and that's what I've trained for all my life. But if getting bigger gets panties wet then I'm sure I could add a few more kg and " and still achieve what I want athletically (climbing high steep mountains where weight is a massive factor).

Missed last week, was travelling and out of internet. Could have written it in Keep and posted later. Physical - read CMass and have started 20 pull up and 100 press up challenge and building a bodyweight regime around those that I can do anywhere and without weights. I know I have to be 100%. I could get away with being 80% before. But that shit doesn't cut it now. How to be normal but also care for her but also do that in a way that doesn't come across as weak. I get the feeling that caring is essentially weak. And how to deal with bad behaviour internally because if I walk out without saying where I'm going, for example, she freaks out because she's suddenly home alone and having flashbacks to Iraq and a mess for days. Thank you. Sometimes I wonder if it is trp on ultra violence. Wife having PTSD makes things a lot harder, the margin for error is a lot slimmer. I just have to be a much better man. So maybe I haven't internalised everything but seeing a 0% improvement, in some ways things have got worse, I was wondering if this always works. The alternative is that I'm not there yet. I think it's the latter. Reprogramming my mind with no role models is hard.

Long is the road, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light. I did threaten to divorce her at the one year point if she didn't start seeing a therapist (UK law, marriage must last at least a year). But isn't the whole point that your woman is a mirror of you? So it just shows me how much I need to shape up.

Physical: no alcohol since Wednesday. Feeling better and better. Two long walks, lots of stretching and squats. Motivated enough to go outside and work in the rain. My business is my project, I have to own it and do what needs to be done, even if the wife is warm and cosy in bed. Sprained finger almost healed but will still be a few weeks. You've never exercised or worked so har that you've been so tired tired your whole body aches and you can't keep your eyes open? Sure my wife had offered to jump on my cock then fine. But to go through it all myself with a 99% chance of a hard no... easier just to fall asleep. And the dogs are an issue but as we live in a shack in the forest it won't improve until we have somewhere bigger and better to live.

Physical: did a 50km hike last weekend. Recovered after a day. Fitness excellent. Left hand still out of action (major sprain and a saw blade injury). Nearest gym is 100km away. Reading "C Mass" by Paul "Coach" Wade to see how much strength training I can do without weights. Will probably have to limit to legs. Stretch in the meantime as flexibility is terrible. Short post, will try to be more regular and composed as I get I to the swing of it. Two major hand injuries are making it hard to exercise. Besides people screaming read the sidebar and hit the gym it is hard to know what growing as a man actually means. I'm the mould of the man I was brought up to be but apparently that isn't what women actually want. I'm giving my wife a comfortable and loving home and an amazing existance and she's chewing it up and spitting it back in my face. One good thing to have come from this is how little I now care about "things" together, so if she wants to go off and make life difficult or get in the way then I'll just let her and if something has to be redone or repaired later then so be it. Its only stuff, things, work... Peace of mind is much more important.

That's not leadership, that's micromanagement. If her perception of my capabilites is really such that I need to be told to lock the house when I have the key in my hand and I'm on my way out then I'm really fucked. Especially as I day to day do pretty much all the chores, feed the dogs, cook, etc.

There's getting the silent treatment and a foul look and there's bewildered shouting as if you've just pulled someone out of a nightmare. I'm still trying to work out triggers and mental states as it can come out of nowhere when she's happy and seems fine but sometimes if she's in a foul mood this would crack a smile. Yes sometimes she really freaks out and starts shouting and ranting. She has PTSD and sometimes goes off on one for seemingly no reason. Especially hard if you're driving. Generally I'm afraid of emotions and conflict but that is something I'm working on. Accepting that having feelings won't get me killed. If I had terminal cancer and someone kept talking about death and cancer I wouldn't respect them, I'd think they were a dick. I guess it's finding a balance between being you and not upsetting…

I don't want to have to own up to the fact that whatever I do, be it dread, lead or NGAF, she won't follow and I'll be forced to leave her.

This is what I needed to hear. I'm doing my thing but she hasn't joined a gym, started learning Spanish or sorted out her eating habits despite promising to do those things for months.

Ke-ke! Basically how the Chileans pronounce cake.

Tried doing that but she finds a way. Secret eating, etc. It's like having a drug addict in the house.

This morning she remarked that she didn't like who I was becoming after counselling. The man she married was Nice. Guess that says it all.

Explain what your mission in life is. "I'm working in IT to make the world a safer place for corporate drones". Or whatever you're doing.

It did seem that not crying ever would be unhealthy or strange (darling your mother just died, don't you feel anything?!) but running to wife and saying how upset you are just looks weak and like you're trying to elicit sympathy. This reply helps explain the balance. If I get a lump in my throat telling my father's fiancée that he almost died it's because it's a shitty and highly emotional situation. I'm still consoling her and doing what needs to be done and following my mission. Im not going t…

I've realised that even though I've been losing weight, my bf% has actually been increasing. I now have around 3kg of useless fat that I'm carrying around for no reason. I think my diet is shit, need to sort it out.

How do you A&A when someone completely shuts down. As it face drops to neutral, no words, picks up her phone or cuddles one of the dogs. Seemingly in the middle of a conversation half the time as well. It seems like a pretty severe shit test, or maybe that's just because I don't know how to deal with it and it kills half the interactions we have.

Yes, I'm lifting. I'm very active physically so I'm not in bad shape, I've always avoided being over muscular. Strength to weight ratios and all that.

She was an Army shooting champion so I think I'd die. Unless it was penis fencing, then I might stand a chance.

You know what, I don't know. Maybe physical violence, maybe of "being found out" (for doing what, I don't know), maybe the sheer number of unknown possibilities or of doing the wrong thing or letting someone down. But I have a pathological fear of social interaction. It took years even to be able to hold eye contact with people: friends, family members, etc. when listening to them, let alone have a proper conversation.

Turn it around and have fun. Even if she looks like she's in a shit mood. I have been noticing recently that her mood can turn in a second. Either i fuck things up and it goes sour or am fun and it gets better.

Wife is on her period this week so no sex. I pushed it pretty far last night but she says she can't explain but she feels dirty and she's sorry that she can't do anything. She was getting a bit irritable so went to sleep rather than push it further. I think feeling my boner in her back was enough of a message. She has previously stated she would happily have sex 4-5 times a day, every day. Just not with me at the moment apparently. Starting to get a handle on what frame is and recognise it. Need…

My wife has PTSD from combat. It only hit home how deep in the shit I wad when I went to a recovery centre for advice on how to lower her stress levels because I was getting depressed and suicidal from trying to help her and the simple reply was: you can't, only she can. I was advised to go and get therapy myself to learn to help me rather than focus on others and if I needed up getting what I wanted from the relationship then great, otherwise it was a divorce because everyone breaks eventually.…

There is no excitement. She is an expert excitement killer and I don't know how to build it back. So I shut off.

Yeah, I'm two weeks into this journey. I acknowledge that I'm going to fuck up and sometimes massively but it can't be much worse than what is going on now. One step at a time....

So much of what "I" want is social conditioning so that's the hard part. Going to therapy to help break through to the real I so I can know what it is that I wants.

I'm hoping that this is the first step of that journey for me. Onwards and upwards or a different direction completely....

I couldn't find her when I got out of the shower. She wasn't in the house and when she did return she grunted and said there you are. I take your point about ignoring her. Maybe I should have ignored the comment and bounded over like a labrador in an attempt to cheer her up after a long drive.

DEERing seems to be a really important concept in NMMNG but only gets one paragraph. What does it actually mean?

We aren't moving so I can take back control, I envision I'll be doing what I want, where I want, with her. At the moment I'm drifting until the move. I said I was moving and gave her the option of coming with me.

She has complained in the same sentence that I don't initiate enough and that everything I do do is focused on getting sex. I'm trying to move towards doing sexual things that don't lead to sex (Eg snogging in the street on the way home) but I'm not that far through the sidebar so I'm a bit adrift without a plan.

I dunno. It's not entirely friends. Eg she grabbed my arse this morning as I was packing my stuff into the car and smiled.

Yeah, definitely one of my best friends but we have bonding coming out of our ears. We probably spent over 5 hours chatting yesterday. Need to ramp up sexual tension obviously. Good idea on dinner wear but I might have to take her shopping as none of her clothes "suit her".

What if it was an open contract? If you do X I'll give you a blow job. If she didn't deliver what would that be?

Yes, lots that resonated with me in NMMNG. Now undergoing therapy to help sort out who I am and what is my toxic shame talking. I feel like I'm raping someone if I touch them sexually, or get discouraged if they aren't shouting "fuck me big boy!". Lots of sexual shame.

I get scared initiating or talking about sex. I successfully initiated sex on Sunday morning by waking my wife up but my heart was beating harder and faster than situations where there has been a strong possibility that I would die. I'm having a hard time working out whether she just never is in the mood (she says she'd be up for it 4-5 times a day) or if I'm being shit and not passing the test or leading her properly. Need to call my agent about work. Physically outstanding. Lots of hard CV and…

Yeah, I know the porn needs to go. It's normally late at night, when I'm drunk and don't have anything better to do but still.... I First discovered a video in my dad's study when I was 14 and it has always been pretty exciting since. It may be that women have been a strange and precious thing for me. I lost a sister a few days after she was born when I was 5 (I now have two brothers) and was at single sex boarding school from 8-18. I have always thought that women should be protected and loved,…
