Went out for dinner with my wife this evening. One of the nicest restaurants in town, her idea, the waiting list is weeks. We both dressed smartly and she wore makeup and high heels, which she almost never does. She looks amazing, lucky me.

We had a great meal, laughed, had fun and discussed some serious stuff. On the way home we held hands and stopped for a snog before getting back to the house.

Once we were inside, I took the dogs out as she needed the loo and when I returned she was sat in an armchair, engrossed in her phone. I tried to engage her and she was semi responsive, replying that she was looking at what we were doing tomorrow. I tried to say I had it handled and release her phone from her but she kicked up a huge fuss so I left the room.

Came back a few minutes later and she was reading a wildlife book. I sat on the sofa and suggested that she join me but she said it was too far. I went over to her and straddled her. I uh-hummed to a couple of the things she was saying and then kissed her. She didn't kiss back passionately but she didn't stop it either. She then said that she was going to bed and would I be joining her. We agreed that I would take the dogs out if she put the rubbish out.

When I got upstairs she was asleep. I aksed her if she was asleep and she said yes and where had I been, I had been gone ages (it had been about 5 minutes). I said I was going downstairs as I wasn't tired and she mumbled something incomprehensible, she was properly asleep.

Am I being an idiot and assuming too much from her bedroom offer or was she using it as a way to get me to go away because I'd pushed her too far? Or something else entirely?

And how should I react tomorrow? Call her out at breakfast and say I don't like her being a cock tease or just enjoy the activity that we are sharing without really engaging her? Or again, something completely different.
