Much improved but not enough to "niquer" according to my top prospect. Everyone wants to speak English with me. Even all the Russians in my neighborhood.

The smartest men I know already know they don't know anything. Don't underestimate what you can learn from another man no matter how independent and discerning you may yourself be. There's always a nuance that escapes. The phrase "life coach" is asinine. Looking back on my life I had a couple men who mentored me. Mostly took place on the golf course with drinks after.

Right on dude. Put yourself first. Nobody else will. Good report. Others may learn much from your example of action not talk.

Dude. Your wife is a whore. Burn that motherfucker down. Get an attorney and get ready to divorce. Plan for cleaning up the wreckage you made by having kids with her. DNA test the one she's got in her now. Your life is too short to spend it with a woman like that. You can save your kids even if you're not married to their mom. It becomes job number one. You can do it. I know. I watched my brother do it.

Happenstance mon ami. Turns out cafe life suits me to the ground. They know me by name now at La Cabanne a Huitres. The locals advise I leave town before August so we will see. Et tu, comment est le livre?

If you wish to gain from this failed endeavor why not look deeply into your need to blame your audience for that failure. A man such as you describe yourself to be would surely recognize the glaringly obvious. Maybe your vaunted pimp hand of which you assured us obscures your view?

You don't have to answer every question a woman asks you. Just tell her what you want her to know. This is 101. "Can't tell by looking" Grab her and feel her up. "Feels great, closer inspection later" You know, whatever, just get to the point of what you want to do and say don't be driven by her. Redirect her to where you want to go.

Out of 10,000 news stories you have read in the last 12 months, name one that - because you consumed it - allowed you to make a better decision about a serious matter affecting your life, your career, your business - compared to what you would have known if you hadn't swallowed that morsel of news. Here's my two: news reports both local and via government websites related to the recent wildfires in western NC and coverage in the financial press related to pending regulations and other issues aff…

Yes I recall asking him outright why he had such a hard on for you. I must say for a minute I enjoyed watching him flail as he tried to formulate an answer. No matter how brilliant a man, not every word can be a proverb. He certainly shit on me enough about my taste in women. Good times.

I've said my piece about fatherhood so many times. At the risk of repeating myself I say that if you have to resort to violence then you are doing it wrong. It isn't much of a struggle to outsmart a kid and if you are struggling to do it then you've got some work to do. You should know how and if you don't you should learn how to do anything for your children that needs done. Mom is not indispensable so make sure that she knows she isn't. You should put this on the red pill fatherhood side.

Why do you fuckers think you have to answer every question you're asked? You don't. Get it through your head. You tell her what you want her to know. There's at least ten million better responses. Now that you've thought about it can you name one?
/r/askMRP31/03/17 06:15 PM

No problem was ever solved with a long-winded, emotional conversations This is one time you should listen to your gut. Reading your post I recall my wife telling me once that I was like an envelope. Try to rip it open and you risk ruining what's inside. You've got to steam it open very gently. I'd forgotten about that until just now. Must be getting senile. Anyway, I read that book and I'd suggest you bypass that recommendation. Stay inside your envelope.

Dude. Sorry about your old man. When he goes it's a life altering event. Give yourself some space to work it out. Alone if you can. It fucking sucks, so no two ways about. I'll spare you the platitudes. Focus on whatever you have to get done. Get it done and move on to the next thing. Narrow your focus to one task at a time in the moment. That's it. Move from moment to moment. Somehow you find you've gotten from one day to the next.

Well McGill, I had resolved to pass this by for two reasons, not least of which is it reminded me too much of the I'd Do It Again Gala from springtime last year and of course that I'm fresh from walking my oldest daughter down the aisle. That's two of mine married now. I'd tell any man that it's got to be done on his own terms. you should make it your mission to fire her Excellent advice. Depending on the scope of your authority and the size of your division, do it in such a way that she is not the only one to go. Do it as a reduction in force, re-organization or "right sizing." Much easier to get rid of protected class troublemakers when they are part of a larger group.

I agree with you. I never laid a hand on any of my four. Didn't need to and I never featured getting hit with a broom and didn't think they would either. Kids are not that difficult to outsmart. I'm enjoying watching my oldest son with his soon to be two year old. He is eternally patient with the boy which is something I very much like seeing.

Good. Work that into your plan that you make WITH her about what she is going to do when shit goes south. Like leave the room. It's not uncommon for women, especially SAHMs to think they are the experts who must handle every situation. You have to make sure she knows that isn't the case and that he does too. Figure out with her how you are going to put that into action.

Spanking brings the nuts out of the woodwork doesn't it? My old man used to tell my brother and me "get out of my sight before I kill you" and he whacked me with a broom more than once. I eventually wised up enough to run when he started swinging it. The problem I see with a lot of these dumb bitches is that they put their children into situations where the children cannot possibly succeed. Just the other day I was in a department store and I heard some kid screaming. Sure enough Mom expected hi…
/r/askMRP24/03/17 03:58 PM

Good advice, generally speaking. However, he is not under arrest or certain of what, or even if, he is facing any action by his employer which is why I advise him against any preemptive steps. My instinct tells me there is more to the story and that the theft of company time is the least of his problems. Hope for his sake I am wrong.
/r/askMRP24/03/17 03:19 PM

I suspect there is a lot more to this story than he is letting on. Maybe we will find out. Maybe not. Up to this point no action by his employer has been proposed against him. The only "fact" that he is in possession of is a statement from a departing employee.
/r/askMRP24/03/17 03:05 PM

Two things tell me you are pretty fucking stupid. Here's 1 We have a three year old and he's a walking shit test right now Here's 2 his #1 goal in life is to test me right now. You're being bested by a toddler. Think about that. Pathetic. How about start with working with your wife on how you both are going to handle these situations so you have some passing chance of providing a united front.
/r/askMRP24/03/17 02:59 PM

Don't do anything. Be watchful and wait. Has your behavior been demeaning to women? Do not be overly concerned about your manager seeking corroboration. This is a standard practice. Consider the manager's position. An allegation has been made. If she does nothing with it the manager can be considered culpable for failing to address a problem. A prudent first step for any manager is to seek corroboration in order to determine if further action is needed. I don't know the significance of gmail cha…

Ha! Do you even interpersonal dude? Reasons you need to finish reading the materials: Reason 1 If you had finished them you wouldn't have needed to make this post. Ok, ok, maybe I should give a guy a break since he is only a few weeks in even though his username is a shitty send up of the Twilight Zone and possibly doesn't know that but still. Reason 2 You can't navigate a simple conversation about cable providers without it degenerating into you breaking frame. Ehhh. Frame. What's that you say?…

Complete power grab. I used to have what was called a study. Now they're called home offices I guess. That room was sacrosanct. Kept all my shit I didn't want anyone touching in that room and also used it to lecture the kids in private or to just get away from the bedlam that our household could be from time to time. That his wife had the audacity to undertake such an action and further that he characterizes it as petty sharply illustrates the power dynamic.
/r/askMRP23/03/17 04:01 PM

You've got a bigger problem than just the pictures. Look into why she knows she can go things like this to you and get away with it. Just so you know, this picture thing is not an example of "petty behavior." I'm starting to see what the real problem here is. Do you?

Screech....you say your kids are not little kids and if you are the father that you have described yourself as then your children already know what their mother is. I read that. Great post. What's missing in this discussion is that a "letter" like this is completely beside the point. It's like trying to pick out paint swatches for your house but the smoke from the fire of it burning down is getting in your eyes. Or trying to wallpaper over wet and rotting drywall. Celebratory gift giving and its implications has come up here as a topic on numerous occasions. Tales of entitled bitches expecting some giant birthday party in a club and the OP kibitzing with her over the cost of a bottle (anyone else recall that one? Ex-football player I think he was) and without fail, the regularity of the seasonal lamentations Valentine's Day to Christmas to "My Birthday." When I was married we didn't engage in lavish gift giving. All I wanted was to be presented with an an…

Don't know how old your kid is. Be knowledgeable and realistic about what they are developmentally capable of at a given age. You can stoic yourself up and down the highway but more effective would be not putting him, and yourselves, into situations that he can't handle the way you prefer.

For myself I can't say that I ever lapsed into middle aged ennui, not that I'm suggesting you have, what with having all them mouths to feed and plenty of occupation with volunteer work as well. I've found out recently that my taste for leisure did not take much effort to acquire but along with it came an inability to stay in one place.

Possibly it's that I have no wife and all my children are grown. I cannot see my way clear to doing a married woman. My brother, on wife number three, has always picked married ones. I think he's up to five marriages imploded two of his own three of the women's. Maybe it's witnessing that as well.

Funny thing. I've been on the other side of that and single now to be soon going on two years. My appetite for sex and women raged out of control for awhile after my wife died, kind of like those wildfires we had here in the mountains this summer, scorching everything in its path. It's true what he says about there being a lot of women available. Lots of them married too, although my appetite was never unrestrained and undiscriminating enough to fuck one of the married ones.

The key objection to niceness amounts to the fact that it's not really a virtue. Niceness, if you think about it, is the most selfish of virtues, one...rooted in a deep indifference to the well-being of others Virtue or not, I reject these ambages of course. Nice has become a stand-in for so many shortcomings it seems.

Some caution here. Not to be a downer, but, high expectations like this, never turned out good for me, or my family. If you keep your expectations in check, and avoid "over-selling" the experience of the trip to your family, you will have a much better chance of "succeeding". That's some gold plated advice right there. Manage those expectations. With four, at least one is throwing up, hungry, crying or in danger of being killed by the other three. Good times.

My gut reaction to this is: "Just don't reply. Text is for logistics only. She's emotional but she's at home with two kids, this is doable for her and it's on her to figure it out. Sounds like you have a thoughtful plan. Keep the end in sight as you are nearing it. You are your project. Not her. Finish it.

It's easier for a woman to follow if she knows where you are headed and it's an enviable destination. /u/brattykids123 you said you gave her ample reason to worry over your abilities in the past. She can find another daddy with ease should she actually be as perfect as you say. If you don't want kids don't have them. You'll just do a shit job daddying. If that's a deal breaker for her then she can break the deal. Nobody gets everything they want in life. Christ I sound like an agony aunt. Locate your spine and your balls and do what you want to do.

prompt her to consider how she's the master of her feelings. You might as well try cold fusion. This will never happen. You're missing the point in any case. Her feelings are her feelings and you are letting them become yours. Do I have to make some stupid weather vane analogy? I think I do. Dude. It's your life. Live it for yourself and minimize the role your parents play in your decision making. I know next to nothing about Indian cultural pressures but I know well enough how to be a dutiful son. Don't sacrifice yourself to it. You only get one go around so go around any way and with whom you wish. Life is difficult enough without granting others permission to put obstacles in your path. Don't make any decisions until you've gotten your professional life back on track.

the consequence of being too damned smart for our own good It's more the consequence of fear. Many rentiers have this type of mindset that abdada is describing. It has a momentum of its own and it all depends on how much you want to reduce from where you are now. What lifestyle is good enough, for you, personally. Now me, I don't want to live in a 900sq house by O'hare or be like my father who spent half his life pouring over Investors Business Daily. Women narrate. It's what they do. They narrate your life and theirs. Living with a woman is like having a radio playing in the background at all times. That's one of the things that makes living with them so enjoyable. Most of the time. You don't have to deal with it. Everything about your telling of this story is pathetic. "Her special day." "Their selfish agendas." Who knows what enormity you're really referring to. Capacity builder. That's what you want to be. You know you are one when everyone is knocking on your door, so to speak. How to become one? In a larger sense, that is the work of MRP. Poetic license all mine if I may. True, people often get involved in a thing because they want it to be a certain way. I've done many hours of volunteer work over the years, capital campaigns, community engagement, you name it. Looking back on it I see that all of it changed me as much if not more than the reverse. …

Interests? Join toastmasters. Join the Rotary, Kiwanis, Sertoma, Knights of Columbus or whatever, get out there and meet people and interact. There are a million resources already available for people like you. Find them. Use them.

Nah man stop thinking with your dick lol. Sometimes a squash is just a squash. It's a reference to the one time she was bitching at me about the way I was slicing a zucchini. So I left. Not surprising. Much of Stoney's work purports to be about one thing but often is really about something else entirely. It's one of the things that makes him such a good writer. Best case scenario, she is just ill mannered and ignorant and instruction can help her see the error in that kind of behavior and put a stop to it. Parents who don't present a united front can face a certain doom when the teenage years roll around. She may even care enough about the kid to change. Worse case, and most likely, scenario given his level of agitation about soup (Soup, think about it, soup) she has no respect for him and he has to change that.

Very cleverly done. Two points really stand out. If a guy cannot cultivate a full human experience for himself, he fails to be a brand worth “purchasing”. She blushed and laughed (admission) and grabbed my arm and said "No!" (denial) I even said something about what a meathead he was and she said "I know, I know!" (admission) For a long while after that I teased her about blowing his whistle etc etc, dumb shit like that and we laughed about it together. It didn't concern me. Peopl…

hardee har har I meant getting advice from children. I really would like to know what pikadildo means about the hive mind though. I think it is interesting based on what I think a hive mind is. As I've said many, many times I do not conceive of this place or the men who inhabit it as members of some Greek chorus and I resist all attempts to characterize it as such. I must be missing something.

insecurity is a trait of most successful highly valuable men. In many ways it's what drives them - they are so harsh on themselves. Nah. Not most, maybe some. The drive to excel is linked to any number of individual motivations, as individual as the men who experience them.

Probably driving all the young girls crazy with that thing. Kinda cold to be going shirtless in Canadaland though isn't it?

Definitely. Just the other day I was somewhere doing something and some drunk fucktard started giving me a ration of shit. Young guy. I thought briefly about getting out of the car, letting him take a swing at me. I would have probably come out the worse. But then I thought, with what I know now and the resources I have I could fuck his life up beyond all redemption so I just smiled at him. I'm sure he felt like he kicked my ass. Funny moment.

I was in several fights as a young man. Mainly because I didn't know when to shut up. Got two ass kickings. Delivered one. Best lesson learned? How to stop them happening.

I'm unlikely to ever get a tattoo but a tree might not be a bad one. If done right. As someone who has spent several months painting trees I know they are a work of art that's difficult to capture. Lots of varieties to choose from too

Well, it wasn't the reason I didn't get the job, that had to do with salary negotiations. It was during one of those "intake" parts of the interview process where they full the herd. The little HR kewpie doll in the red suit that was doing the asking was pissing me off. It was funny to see her jot it down on her little legal pad. Anyway it's a dumb fuck job interview question.
/r/MarriedRedPill17/11/16 05:36 PM

I once had a job interview where the interviewer asked me where I considered myself to be on Maslow's heirarchy. I lied and said I didn't know what it was. Scurve's Heirachy. I dig it. It's accurate too because we really are the foundation. And the foundation has to be strong. They're like the barnacle. Only softer, but still sharp. I didn't get the job.

I do as well, one of several. You are using it to symbolize something it doesn't. Having a foundation of general knowledge about philosophy, the arts, the sciences, history, and literature only means that you have a somewhat smaller chance than the average man of not being an ignoramus. The term you are looking for is crybaby fag. In fact, I'd argue that such a foundation of knowledge might give you an edge in the prevention of your becoming one of the latter. Well when I read your post it called to mind something my brother once told me about his wife #2. He complained that she was always "taking his temperature." In other words trying to gauge the status of the relationship and his feelings about her. Shit like making dinner reservations so they could have a "talk" about how it was "going" for each of them. He couldn't take the pressure. Looking back I see my wife did the same to me when I was neglectful (which tbh wasn't unheard of behavior for me)…

You only get the time you get. Don't waste it doing shit you don't want to do. If you don't want to daddy then don't. We don't need any more half assed kids. Don't get me wrong, I was really into it and I love my kids. But I was happy and my wife made sure I pretty much stayed that way. Still, there was more than one occasion I thought about how much I'd like to be doing exactly what I'm doing now. A lot can happen in three years so when the time comes don't bullshit her.

Well, I suspect I’ve said enough on the topic. A final thought occurs. Kicking a man when he’s down, which is what we often do here, but only in the most inspiring and useful way of course, ought to be the exclusive preserve of other men in MRP. Ah Fakefalse... you're back. It's been a minute man and here you are with this execrable contrivance. Hadn't you noticed how high the quality is hereabouts nowadays? But, I gotta know did you make her eyeliner run when you got home? That's my favorite story. Lol

Well I wish you well buddy but overblowing the violent and abusive thing, it's not a big deal Re-read what you wrote. This comes across as changing your position because you don't like the feedback you got

What's more sad is the increasing presence of women at MRP. I understand this. I agree.

I've never looked at them. Is it worth reading?
/r/MarriedRedPill08/11/16 05:43 PM

we don't break up Lol. I get you. Well, I can think of more than a time or two they did. For things like getting one or the other of my kids a job for example or help getting into (or out of!) something. I've just found that a many times in life it can really matter who you know.
/r/MarriedRedPill08/11/16 05:42 PM
2

This is pretty interesting. The real and imaginary dichotomy particularly. I always thought about my friends as a matter of degree really. Of course I have my real friends, the "greater" degree ones that you can call anytime for anything and they you. I met many people over the years through clubs, volunteering, sports, leagues of various kinds, schools, jobs etc...life really. I admit that I never let any of the "lesser" degree friends (acquaintances) go completely though because you never know…

I'm referring to OPs situation, not yours which I only mentioned by way of contrast.
/r/MarriedRedPill08/11/16 03:54 PM
2

Here's the thing though. From what you say your wife is a highly functional person. My theory is that some men live with this abnormal shit for so long that they lose touch with just how massively fucked up it is. And the other thing that gets me is that there are kids in the mix. It's nearly inevitable that the kids get unleashed on the world and end up fucking other people up because they don't even know what it is to engage in or sustain a reasonably healthy relationship.

Nah nah you wrong. You "loaned" any money to your adult children? Lol. The contract with interest is for THEM. Face saver mechanism. As /u/FireTempered said, this daddy don't really expect to be repaid. Hard sometimes to ask for a handout.
/r/askMRP07/11/16 11:53 PM

But the truth is, I never offered money to any of them that I expected to get back. So true, so true
/r/askMRP07/11/16 11:33 PM

Life happens. Borrowing money from family members with substantial assets is not an uncommon practice. Terms are typically favorable to the borrower. It should be done in a business like way. Have a written agreement and expect to pay interest. Maintain the goodwill of the lender by repaying according to the terms. Pay on time. At times I've held mortgages or made bridge loans for two of my children. Son always paid on time or early. Daughter always late. Lol
/r/askMRP07/11/16 10:50 PM

Yes! I've just spent a half hour on the phone with my oldest daughter. I swear that child must have been born with mule ears and I was never informed.

YOU, your own well being is job number one because you can't be an effective father if you don't have your shit together. Yes you should spend more time and energy than the average Dad which wouldn't be difficult now would it? Your energy should be focused on getting them to the point that they can thrive on their own. When I first got out of law school I was lucky enough to get hired on with a top tier firm. One Friday every month the partners used to order in these gourmet cakes and coffee service from a popular local bakery. They put out this spread for staff to have a "cake and coffee hour." After I'd been there a few months I noticed that more than a few of my coworkers spent most of the hour bitching about the kind of cake they were served. You remind me of those long ago co-workers.

You really are in danger of being grabbed by Trump. Your kids. Your wife. She's to forsake all others remember? You need to get reacquainted with your spine man. How are you going to deal with your future clients? Can you not problem solve? If your wife can't stand up to her parents do it for her. Find some solution so the kids stay with you when she goes?

When I read this post it I was reminded of this kid one of my daughters used to date. One time for her birthday he made her a scrapbook in which he'd laboriously recorded all their dates or whatever. Pages and pages with art work etc...I recall she was totally horrified to receive it. She and my wife laughed and laughed about it. Poor kid. I liked him. Needless to say he bit the dust long after.

What's interesting is that you routinely point to your "outlier" status among women, in fact going so far as to say that you're terribly masculine in many very substantive ways. Yet, simultaneously you purport to speak for women when you preface your statement with "as a woman" or make statements that "explain" what women do or think. Do you see that?

His post was pretty interesting due to the fact that he said whenever he changes a behavior the wife does too. I think theres a good chance you can break a woman of pretty much any habit (except spending money and excessive grooming) if you just fail to be moved. In my early married days on my way home from work I sometimes used to get waylaid in one watering hole or another arriving home long after she went to bed. No I was referring to the "Id do it again" apologia that was posted last Spring that engendered days and days of comments and debate. Personally, I don't see much benefit in ruminating on it but I've never been an overly introspective man. You are where you find yourself. The best thing about MRP is that you can use it to change wherever you find yourself.

For a time I had the need for an abiding interest in public financing instruments, as a byproduct of that I got an MPA. So much focus on leadership in that program, debate on if it can be learned or is innate and emerges due to circumstances. I lean toward the latter. It's an unpopular opinion.

I know they are hard to find these days but first thing you do is get your hands on a book of matches. Second thing you do is drop a match on that bitch and your marriage. I can't do that to my little boy You can and must. Get in the shower and cry over your broken dreams if you have to. Get out, dry off, and start planning your better future for you and your son. It's out there and really, you can hardly do worse than her. She gave you an std for fucks sake.

There is a subreddit called SkinCareAddiction get on there and research. Is there really? It never ceases to amaze me what is on Reddit. I just wasted a half hour looking at that DNGAF one someone mentioned earlier. It's a good thing I did not discover all this stuff earlier in life

The dynamic goes beyond that and includes the woman's capacity to engender a "transformative" effect on the man who is deficient in some way prior to her intervention. It's a formulaic feature in a many novels, literature even written by men.

I know right. My thought always was "I'm paying the freight so....." Do people even say that anymore? See so much of this stuff I read about here out in live action now. Tonight standing in line at Ingles. Some young girl in front of me, three kids. No way she's over 30. Two in the buggy, one in diapers still, son like 9, in his white belt tormenting his siblings into low grade whines, noses running. Mom never once looked up from her phone. Kids may as well have been alone in the store. Fuck. Ap…

it's pretty fucking easy For a childfree you hit the nail on the head pretty well lol. It's really not hard, at it's worst, just tedious. Especially when they are little, they are just like furniture. Furniture that leaks a lot. Really the only thing the mom can do that you can't is nurse them. And that shit can be pumped, and there is formula.

No doubt. If more men did their fatherhood gig properly then TRP might be out of business one day. Right? I'm not one that thinks having children is some essential life experience. Childless people? More power to them. There were more than a few days Langdon and I wished we were. My thing has always been, once you got them here then Daddy better do his job.

Here's the number one thing you can do based on what I read in your OYS where you said that you "had enough" to take them from your wife because she is making "bad choices" but you didn't want to: DO IT If you can, DO IT. I'd really revisit that decision. If you end up having to split time then you have to make sure the time you do have is the best it can be. Technology is your friend on this one I imagine.

Nobody has all the answers at 19 so it's good that you are at least asking questions and looking to improve. Most young guys mess up a time or two, some more serious than others. Listen I wasted my almost half my freshman year of college with this one girl that I LOVED so much she was amazing to me, so hot, so DTF as your generation says. I paraded her around the campus like an idiot she was so gorgeous. Turns out you know she couldn't really give a shit about me and basically tore my heart righ…

You're 19 man!! Presumably you are in college and even if your program is rigorous (doubtful, most aren't but I guess you could be in the School of Mines) you should be carefree and having fun, shit's only going to get harder and more demanding. You know there are girls out there that are actually FUN at your age.
/r/askMRP19/10/16 05:48 PM
3

Are you 19 or not? Edit: Nevermind, you ARE 19, I looked back in your comments (see how much I care about you Chinny that I remembered that?) So get cracking and find some other girls. You'll find out they all cry. Default setting. Tears won't hurt you if you don't let 'em.
/r/askMRP19/10/16 05:15 PM
1

That's pretty funny. Do I recollect correctly that you are like 19? If I am correct in my memory here's my advice: stop with the LTR shit and fuck as many girls as will hold still long enough for you to get it in. Focus on your education and making yourself into the strongest, most self reliant, most ambitious man that you can. Make your education and the development of your earning ability your top priorities. Stop caring if she cried.
/r/askMRP19/10/16 05:00 PM

You took the words right out of my mouth. My sister lives in a very rural area and drives a ways to her mailbox. I was once in the car with her when she was picking up the mail for her husband, one item of which she took out of the pile, wadded it up and stuffed it in her purse and said something like "oh I'm going to return that (whatever it was she bought) before that bill is due." They ALL have a subterranean financial life.

Excellent. NEVER in this second marriage, was there any question about who was in charge of the finances, or who made the financial decisions. I consult with her, but I always decide. That's the key right there. I shake my head when I read about these guys that turn it over to the wife. If you can't figure out how to do it then go take a class. Or two.

/r/askMRP18/10/16 06:10 PM

Well yes, yes, and yes. You say your wife ignores you, doesn't make you happy, and you just wish she'd get down to it and jump on some other man's dick thereby freeing you from any further responsibility for repairing the mess you're in. She's the solution to your problem! Can you be any more passive than that? Maybe if you got busy getting yourself to a point where attractive women don't intimidate you that momentum might carry you onto a resolution of your own making.

Approaching women and trying to pick them up is also a terrifying prospect for me. I have literally never done it, and attractive women are generally rather intimidating for me. usually met with guilt from my parents which mentally stole away some of the fun. Lol, That will pass and plus, you'll only feel guilty if you choose to feel guilty. A couple times my wife insisted she had to see her sister and parents so off she went convinced that no holiday could be had without her assistance. Fine by me. Kids stay with me. Any idiot can cook a turkey, stuff that bitch with some granny smith apples and rosemary and stick it in the oven. Mashed potatoes are easy too but I did …

My wife used to play Good King Wenceslas and my kids used to fight about wether it was really a Christmas Carol or not. Also Girl with the Flaxen Hair and the Andante Favori were favorites. Imma start calling you Thelonious lol

Lol. This really took me back down memory lane. I feel for you brother I really do. Traveling with four kids can be hellish. Just trying to keep track of them all at the airport lol. Tell you how I solved the problem. Ironclad rule. Never going anywhere on Thanksgiving ever. She'd dress them up as Indians and Pilgrims, but we stayed the hell home. Family came to us if they wanted watch us eat turkey play in the Brass family turkey bowl. Find out who is going to the emergency room this year!! Fun…

He's permitted himself to be taken hostage. As FT says this is a power and a control issue not a financial or earnings issue. As I said before my wife never worked but she had inherited wealth. It was never the sword of Damocles in my household as the decisions were made by me and it was not a factor. In fairness though, I wonder if such a thing is possible anymore.

It's good advice you've been given. You should follow it. When I found myself single I was pretty broken down. In large part due to the powerlessness I endured in the circumstances that brought me there. But I dealt with it, packed it away as was inevitable, and I've been rolling in clover since. If you ever find yourself there, you'll do it too. Get to the clover I mean. Edit: spelling

Which underscores my point below that he needs to change his attitude. I don't use those so I wasn't sure if it was a case of "add everyone you ever sat next to at a traffic light" kind of thing. It's increasingly apparent to me that impermanence is some side effect of all this. Reading the fucking digital tea leaves.
/r/askMRP13/10/16 05:43 PM

I agree generally although I think OP needs a major attitude adjustment as well. I'm not sure really what adding people on Skype and Snapchat signifies. But, the phone. It's also the way he knows she is ovulating right? The phone, it's like a loaded gun these days. lol

things are good but I'm always expecting it not to last Think about cutting this shit out. It's not a good way to live. Yes, it is wise to be prudent and always look toward your own well being. Be agile, be prepared, have a plan for YOUR future and from time to time take stock of your progress toward your goals but for fucks sake, don't live your life like disaster is right outside standing on your front porch. You only get the time you get, if you can't enjoy it then what's the point?
/r/askMRP13/10/16 04:55 PM

Dig it. Good to see a man in control. The drink sounds weird but interesting I might grab one. I always put unsweetened cocoa powder in when I make chili.
/r/MarriedRedPill13/10/16 02:05 PM
2

I feel for you man I really do lol. In my early married days there were no cell phones and we had walls and walls of secretaries to keep the wife at bay during working hours. Even when my wife and I came into texting, which btw I think one of the top ten greatest inventions of all time, I would often tell her "oh I didn't get that message" or "my phone never rang." Just learn how to shut up and not say "how high?" when she says "jump."
/r/MarriedRedPill13/10/16 01:05 AM
2

I'm confused. You say he's never turned you down. You want more dick. Ask for it. Most guys live for the day they are on the receiving end of a woman's aggressive come on. What have you left unspoken that leads you to ask strange men this question?
/r/askMRP13/10/16 12:23 AM
58

So she gets, what I presume to be an accurate and definitive diagnosis of not one, but two debilitating diseases and you respond with what is essentially "waaaah but what about my dick?" And then you go play on the swing set. I just don't get why she doesn't want to do you. Mystery wrapped in an enigma and all that. Better get to work.
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 11:59 PM
2

What do you like about it? It isn't as simple as walking around. Never lived alone (from family, to dorm, to frat, to apartment with roommates, to wife to wife & kids) I was unprepared for how it is to make all your daily decisions completely independent of any other person. Sorta intoxicating. Especially since I know that I can change that situation if I'm inclined. Currently not inclined lol. In fact just yesterday decided to wrap some stuff up and spend part of the fall back down in the mount…
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 07:39 PM

Be careful slinging that h-word around in front of him. He once had a handlebar moustache and therefore may be the closest thing mrp has to a real live hipster lol
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 05:30 PM
1

Well I had to google it lol. An analagous result to what you see here when guys describe how they've let themselves deteriorate into weak, whiny slobs completely lacking in any air of mystery or independence and therefore are repugnant to their wives. The same dynamic perhaps in lesbian form?
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 05:07 PM
1

The latter two, absolutely. Your boundaries are your own but if you don't enforce them then they aren't real. That's not exclusive to any particular type of relationship. Respect as well. You must be worthy of it, demand it, and move on if it's not forthcoming. Maintaining attraction? I'm less certain because I'm not sure what's motivating that for you. Maybe that's what RZD was getting at. If you want to attract, be attractive.
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 04:52 PM
1

I will hold myself back from any jokes about your user name... But only just barely. In its essence this method transforms men into people who are attractive relationship partners. But only because it's focused on them, not their partners. I think it's portable.
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 04:43 PM
1

Lordy... If that's you flirting you better stay married son. Besides she can't possibly be attractive lol she's probably got short hair and cankles
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 02:16 PM

Well then, stop giving them written ammunition. You know what you need to do to be the prize. It's all spelled out for you. Good luck.
/r/askMRP12/10/16 02:12 PM

Cut and paste? Does that mean you are writing to your wife on Facebook? Didn't anyone ever tell you "don't put anything in writing?" I'm telling you now. Why are you doing this? Also, who gives a shit about her friends and what they think? Women yap. Bunch of cicadas. That's what they do. You should focus on you.
/r/askMRP12/10/16 01:55 PM

Ruined your fun did I lol? All these women pushing in are getting to be like cicadas among the ants.
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 01:05 PM

Ok Norma Rae, you go girl. I'll even spring for the poster board for you if you take my point though, go fight your fight somewhere else.
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 12:11 PM

/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 11:59 AM

/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/16 11:58 AM

I don't feel that I can trust her Are you for real man? I don't actually think anyone can say anything that will help my situation. On the off chance you are real, I can say something to help your situation. Fuck that bitch, call an attorney and file for divorce. Being single and alone is tough at first but you can use mrp to help you and before you know it: clover.

Nor should you ever as the world would likely stop spinning
/r/askMRP10/10/16 03:13 PM

You trying to help me pick a fight? lol I was only trying to make the point that the propensity for extreme behavior, of which we have daily proof be it spreadsheets or oneitis, makes falling at the first hurdle (implementation) the more likely.
/r/askMRP10/10/16 03:12 PM
1

best described as states of being Yes this is correct and if I recall my reading correctly this concept was originally illustrated when Stoney coined the phrase "sprinkle a little" on it. It is only my observation that many here are men of extremes, whatever the variety. As far as the lexicon goes, I never use the labels, purposeful of course on my part. And anyway, if I can be fanciful for a minute, as the path widens and the view appears, they kind of cease to matter.
/r/askMRP10/10/16 02:09 PM
1

Maybe what you describe is another manifestation of the lack of a sense of proportion which in many cases was a contributing factor for some men getting into this mess in the first place. The sudden onset of the sense of urgency and it gets misdirected. As an aside, the development of the lexicon continues.
/r/askMRP10/10/16 11:34 AM

Are you asking this for your wife? I'm getting a real whiff of bullshit here. Is she the only woman you've fucked despite the fact that you're "tall well dressed and ok looking?" If so, why do you suddenly care?

In this story about boobs you do realize that you are the biggest boob of all? And not the perky, natural mesmerizing kind of boob but rather the moronic and stupid kind. And modest too. Lol Butthurt is a word I only learned last year and it's now enshrined on my list of least favored adjectives right near awesome. The dynamic described by TFA is something that was easily tolerated in my marriage. It's bound to happen if you are together long enough and can be pretty fun when it's out in the open.

/r/MarriedRedPill07/10/16 06:00 PM

Glad to hear it. As /u/Persaeus is so fond of saying, keep your foot on the gas, fuck them brakes lol If you get your foundation laid down correctly it'll be much easier when he is a teenager. My sons pissed me off royally on numerous occasions but I was usually deadly calm when dealing with their shit. Calm demeanor makes them more likely to confide and let you know what's going on with them so you can head off trouble before it starts.
/r/MarriedRedPill07/10/16 12:10 PM

Yeah you're right I remember her being around here a long time ago. She seemed pretty sincere then actually and impervious to all my insults about junipers, gin, blue ruin and even the time I told her to fuck right off. Lol.

Liberal arts, not for everyone lol

/r/MarriedRedPill02/10/16 04:05 PM

All this because I disdain Ayn Rand? Not sure you're correct however as the intended target of my humor was OP's supposed ignorance of the wife's line of work. I may be as you imagine, but despite that my son ended up playing college ball.

Don't worry there's plenty of ways you can, if there's one thing I can't stand it's country music....can't do it, no way. When I die, for my sins I'll likely be reincarnated as Porter Wagoner. Serve me right too lol
