When a woman says this, is it a comfort test?

My wife has said this a few times in the past few months, and I've treated it as a comfort test, before I even knew what one was.

I've responded light heartedly and given her a kiss, which got a smile out of her and seemed to get good results. Is there a better way to handle this?
