Mission: Writing a free Dostoyevsky-inspired Christian novel that I’ll be advertising across the country as I travel for work.

Stats: 24yo, 6’8”, 190lb, ~16% body fat. Recently finished a 15lb slow bulk as I was horrifically skinny-fat. Now trying to get shredded once and for all before I bulk again. Bench 150lb Squat 215lb. Still weak but I’m an attractive guy with some muscle and well-fitting clothes.

Reading: Re-reading Romans alongside the Wiersbe Bible Commentary. Supplemental reading includes St. Tikhon’s On True Christianity and The Pale King by David Foster Wallace (to hone my prose)

Finances: Debt-free. Due to wasting away my early 20s in sin, I am finishing nursing school next year, and after working for a year I will have enough saved to put a down payment on a condo.

Spiritual: Became saved 1.5yrs ago. Pray and read the Word daily. Lead a study at church. Meditate weekly, should be daily. Evangelize those around me and disciple them once I have. Have not been disciplined in scripture memorization. That’s on me.

Okay here’s the problem guys.

Went on a date with a 19yo girl from church who I had met a couple times before. Date was like an 8/10. There was clearly tension and attraction, and no horrific BP mistakes, but I wasn’t mysterious enough and didn’t make her qualify herself to me enough. Probably put myself into the “great guy” box. Went for the kiss when tension was high and she turned her head. Brushed it off. Should have waited until date 2.

She messaged after saying she got home safe etc and thank you for the day. She ghosted after. Lesson learned, whatever.

But now I’m gonna see her every week. I lead a study and help out at events, so I don’t want drama. Should I send a message just to be like “Hey, seems like you’re not interested. No harm done. Was nice talking. Best wishes” just to put this to bed?

Any help is appreciated. God bless
