I'm at my girlfriend's apartment for the weekend and she won't make me breakfast.
It's driving me up the wall because I always get this nagging feeling that if she perceived me to be higher status or something to that effect, she'd do it. Like there's a theoretical boyfriend for whom she would do anything, and I'm clearly not that guy.
We have a healthy sex life, she's adopted my political beliefs, she lets me make our decisions by and large. So I feel like I should be getting the broad strokes right. We generally get along. She considers me intelligent, attractive, ambitious. But she won't just get into the kitchen and serve me. I ask her to grill me a banana and she just flat out says no. What do I even say back to that?
