Women don't place emphasis on height, they place emphasis on a male being higher than themselves.

Why is that ? Hard to tell, easiest hypothesis is that it's a marker for genetic similarity and well-being of the male (why that is desirable in a mate is a whole other story called evolution).

In a more genetically homogenous population most males will be taller than most females, so that won't be an issue... it's almost as much of a given as, say, women having bigger breasts and fatter buttocks than man (as in, outliers exist, but take a random pair and the chances are the rule holds in 90%+ of the cases).

So, in countries with a more homogenous population height won't be a big deal, since people are more closely related, and thus it's basically assumed any couple will have a M taller than a F.

When you look at statistics, people all over the world are more or less just as likely to prefer someone taller (if they are female) and be married/engaged to someone taller (I'm mentioning marriage, because running statistics on plates and girlfriends is hard, so nobody does that).

You may perceive women in the US to be more concerned about "height", but the reason why, say, a US chick might have: "Please be above x feet tall" in her tinder profile, whilst a Polish chick probably won't, is because in Poland, most of the males they meet will be taller than themselves (which is enough for most women, doesn't matter much after that point)... whilst in the US (due to crazy genetic variation), there's a much greater chance that a random male will be shorter than a random woman.

So, essentially, people in all culture behave the same in this regard, but it's simply not worth mentioning in most populations, much like it's not worth asking a seemingly woman phenotype person if she actually has a dick before meeting if you are striking the conversation in a small-town bar in Virginia, but it could be a good vetting-out question at an LGBT parade or in LA.

First, if you are doing online dating, it's the "Amazon Prime" effect - everyone is used to getting exactly what they want, delivered within 2 days, with a money back guarantee.

Second, the archetype for the "perfect" man here is "Tall, Dark and Handsome" - look at what comes first. I tend to go after tall girls because I know I have an easier path - and if a girl is 178CM (5'10") or taller, chances are good she's going to plow the road for me. But if I had to rely on online dating (which I don't bother with), I'd be relegated to 50 y.o. HB5s, for the most part. I need to be out in Meat Reality where I can DHV in 3 dimensions.

So shorter guys just have to learn to Day Game, and meet girls out IRL because there is more of human element there and you're not just pixels on a screen to be swiped left on because you don't meet one item on her 1500 item list.

Women prefer a 'taller man' not a tall man, 6 foot X may be thier fantasy but two inches taller than they are is acceptable. A small but important differnce. This comes from reported preference so take it with a grain of salt but the difference matters, the uphill battle is with a girl taller than you. What they put on a profile doesn't matter bc through observation you can see dating preference remains the same... Taller than her but for a mid to tall girl. You see really short girls dating huge dudes often I imagine bc they need to compensate for the safety element.

Because women like feeling protected and submissive, and with most of the US male population either fat, skinny fat, or obese then height becomes the easier metric for achieving that feeling. She wants to feel like the man she is with is bigger and stronger than she is.

Don’t worry about it. I’m 5’8 and anytime I’ve been the “side nigguh,” the other guy was ALWAYS over 6 foot. Might be coincidental though. Completely anecdotal.

The real answer is: it’s popular. But also might be instinctual. Biological.

Social science research has correlated height with income (among other variables). Now height is also related to body weight and "leadership." Not to mention success in sports. Height is a clear advantage. Any man that argues otherwise is folly. It's rare to see a 6ft women with a man 5'6". In the states. Women typically will state 5'11" in heels blah blah... becausr they dont want to be seen with a short man. So yes its true. Just like a man doesnt want a fat ass whale...in terms of abroad...i cant speak to that..

While it is definitely emphasized in our media/culture, one cannot deny that it’s an inherent desire of woman in general.

Two trains of thought:

If you’re short: You’ve been delt a bad hand. So what, make the best of it and be a fucking boss! BDE and RP and you’ll kill it over all the BP tallfags.

If you’re tall: Congratulations, you’ve gotten 10+ big dick points for doing literally nothing. Don’t fucking waste it. Yes life will have advantages, but it ain’t worth shit if you don’t work on yourself.
