Amused mastery is owning and/or dismissing an insult/challenge rather than fighting it.

Example: Girl calls you an asshole on the first date

Amused mastery response: Chuckle and say you are indeed an asshole, but at least you’re upfront about it.

The actual response doesn’t really matter. The point of it is that you don’t give a shit about other people’s opinions of you and you are comfortable with who you are.

I just saw an example of this in the subway. There was a young dude who bumped into an older man, said sorry and backed off a bit. The older man started talking shit and even threatening the young guy. The young guy just looked at him in the eyes with a grin on his face and kept quietly laughing as he was getting insulted by this crazy old fuck. It was clear he knew old guy wasn't gonna do a fucking thing and wasn't even taking the situation seriously anymore. That's amused mastery.

Master something. Take that feeling and apply it to things you haven’t mastered.

I sing in the car, I try to sing as well as I can in my own voice instead of matching the audio.

I have over time become a fantastic singer. Singing amuses me. I sing around women, for women and they melt.

I am a master roofer. No one but other roofers ever sees me do it but I enjoy the savagery involved.

I am a master forklift driver. I use my skill to stack things 20 feet over my head smoothly and cleanly.

I am learning to dive off of a board, I enjoy the learning and the mistakes. I laugh and share the experience with those around me at the pool.

I am an excellent driver. I am always amused while driving, even in traffic.

I am an excellent writer. I am amused writing about how amusing so.e of my life is.

This applies to sports, even beer pong. Horseshoes, working out, so many things. Sitting, other meditation.

Most things can be mastered. Enjoy what you practice.
