No, let her fume and be mad. She'll love you better for it. I constantly use this with plates, that little word "bye" with zero affection or caring. They sometimes go crazy, but you can also see how much tingles it gives them. Her man is his own man...daaaamn, a girl has her work cut out for her, this is some kind of George Clooney right here that we're taming.

So the bigger mistake was rushing to "save" her, the smaller mistake was apologizing for it (or bringing it up at all). Both of these are typical beta behavior, make the woman happy at any cost and save her from discomfort at any cost.

You should probably reserve "My bad" for cases where you accidentally ran over her kitten. At the moment, there's no damage control to do, just act like it's all long forgotten. She will not forget, though. She will bring it up and use it against you later, so be ready to grin and dismiss it with your fatherly, loving hand.

When she pouts about you "not being nicer to her", treat her like a child, pat her on the top of her head, say "there, there", kiss her on the forehead and say "I'm sure the Big, Strong Man wasn't trying to be MEAN to you...."

There are times an apology is needed in an LTR (or at least a magnanimous "I regret X", but this is certainly not one of them.
