It is often said and I think it's completely true that men are the more romantic sex. If our appetites are left unchecked we are more prone to devote ourselves and be loyal to a woman. However this seems antithetical to our genetic programming to mate and produce offspring with as many females as possible.

So I wonder are we more evolved to the modern society we had created, or is there something else at play? Thoughts?
