Right now, I have an extremely low SMV at 21: girls will actively try to keep away from me in public, even if I'm doing something as harmless as homework over 20 feet away, she will literally get up and leave as soon as I sit down. I have been rejected from every job I've interviewed for when I was interviewed by a woman, I never get offered help at stores, and when I exude confident behaviors, I'm told I'm "sexist." I don't even dare talk to girls because I don't want to get pepper-sprayed or accused of sexual assault. Not trying to whine, just giving you an idea of where I'm coming from.

Right now, I'm just keeping the self-improvement simple because I'm still new to the concept of self-respect: get to a healthy weight (I'm underweight), develop good communication skills (public speaking and Toastmasters) and try to get to the point where girls view me at least as "normal" so they don't flee away by the sight of me.

Even though I'm still "young", self-improvement can only take you so far. Ever since I was little, I've always intuitively known that I'd never be the kind of guy that girls like and have always tried to stop being attracted to them so that I can live a happy life. Unfortunately, a straight guy cannot become asexual by choice; I'm stuck with this.

Assuming that you keep improving yourself, does it really get better as you get older?
