I see this a lot these days among the instathot set (I use IG to keep track of social trends, making myself aware of new vogues in language, behaviour and so forth). I am undecided as to what the usage of this phrase signals (beyond the obvious "i'm a dopamine-addicted whore"), but I have some tentative theories:

  1. The psychological damage/trauma inflicted by her involvement with sociopathic "bad boys" is finally outweighing the thrill of being pounded by alpha dick, and she is developing a modicum of self-awareness.

  2. She is in the early stages of alpha widowhood but is unaware of this, and is attempting to come to terms with it (albeit unknowingly).

  3. She is ageing out of the dating market (this I believe to be the weakest since I see it among mid-to-late 20-somethings who are still fairly viable)

Now, regardless as to which of these is correct, what is the best strategy to use in getting birds like this into the sack? My current thinking is to adopt a posture of bad-boy-into-self-development, because she gets to have her cake, eat it, and then claim "but he was like, so spiritual!" when it doesn't work out for her.
