So I'm a long timer lurker on the subreddit. I've spent the last few months in sorta monk mode.

The other night I went out with some friends to celebrate one of our friends upcoming wedding. While out we were grabbing drinks and I notice a HB5 and HB8. HB8 is getting hit on by some guys while HB5 is drinking so I go to casually talk to her. HB5 is very receptive and we talk for a few when she goes to grab her friend and bring her back to join us. HB8 and I start talking and hit it off fairly well. Started dancing with both girls but had to leave to handle some things with the other groomsmen. Later on I see HB8 again getting hit on by guy and she keeps trying to walk away but the guy keeps grabbing her and pulling her back. My internal white knight is clamoring to save her but I casually ignore it as no girl is worth a bar fight. One of the guys in our group sees her and invites her and her friend to our table. She immediately goes to me and starts talking about what happened. Don't remember what I said tbh but next thing I know she's laughing calling me an ass and pulling me in to dance with her. Danced with her for a little and slightly escalated but wasn't feeling like escalating further as I was more focused on making sure the groom was ok. Her friend HB5 comes 30 minutes after we started dancing and insist on leaving so HB8 proceeds to kiss me and then leave.

Should I have escalated further? I really didn't care at the time since I was more focused in making sure the groom was having a good night since it was his special night. I ended up getting her digits but since I'm from out of state and had a real early flight the next day I doubted anything else was gonna happen
