Get your ass on youtube and watch every mixology video you can find. Learn all of the common cocktails and drinks and practice your counts and ratios. Bring friends over and get their asses plastered while you practice.

I've never bartended before.

I bartended for 7 years. Done plenty of private events like weddings.

I think you should be focused on doing your job and not picking up girls. You're getting paid, they expect you to at least make an effort.

You need to learn your "counts" for free pour nozzles...but its a wedding so pour heavy. You need to learn basic drinks and some upscale ones like Martini, (wet/dry/extra dry) Tom Collins, Manhattan, Old Fashioned etc etc.

You need to learn to make shots. Vegas bombs, Lemon drops, Red snappers, Car bombs, Scooby snacks, etc et.

LEARN TO OPEN a bottle of wine. Go to the store and buy backup wine keys and speed bottle openers (bar blade). Keep the bar blade in your back pocket.

All of this can be learned in a day on YouTube + a word document printed out and laminated into a cheat sheet. Nothing worse than asking someone for a drink and you see then googling how to make it and they have a line. If you have a barback cut him 10% of the tips...IF he does his job and keeps you topped up with glass and ice.

Also, I assume you will have a tip jar. Throw your own $20 bill in there to mix up with the 1s and 5s other people give you. It looks good if they know someone tipped you fat. Above all be very polite with everyone. "Yes sir / No ma'am"
