Being a Red Pill Role Model
Men of TRP, I have a question for you.
How do you be a strong male role model to a boy when you're a young man yourself?
I'm 26. By no means could you call me a 100% red pill male yet but consider me purple-pilled, intent on a path to becoming firmly red. I read the side bar and I have taken steps towards applying what all of this community teaches--but it's not about me today.
I have a little brother, 5 years old. There is a 20 year gulf between our ages. My parents, respectively in their 40s and 60s, chose to have another child shortly before I left for the military five years ago.
My little brother is my only sibiling and I sense that I am going to play a significant masculine role in his life. When my aging parents die, possibly in the next decade, this role may become even bigger as I would become my brother's sole guardian.
I want to do this job right.
The personal why is that I did not grow with a firm male presence in my life. I had a father but he did not play a strong role in my upbringing as much as I would have liked. Because of that, I fell into the clutches of blue-pilled institutions that distracted me from organically learning how to be a masculine (red-pill) character.
I dread the same fate happening to my younger brother.
One week ago I saw him off to his first day in kindergarden. I'm filled with apprehension having done so, because when I recall my own childhood experiences in school I merely remember a long string of miserable memories where I had to sit quietly for long hours at a desk and be taught how to think and speak and obey. It began with public schooling.
I was left to face the avalanche of blue pill beliefs alone and I hated that loneliness. I ached for a manly role model living in my life--and it went unanswered.
I intend to not allow this be the case for my little brother. I will not let my little brother be at the mercy of a public school system that would try to squash his innate curiosity and nascent manliness. As much as I do want to be manly myself, I want to guide my brother into growing a masculine character, influenced by the red pill principles.
To those who have read to the end, I ask you:
Do you have any advice as for what I should do?
How should I handle the endeavor of raising my brother into a red pill man?
Can anyone speak up and relate?
I (correctly) assume I'm not unique in facing this situation. No doubt some of you are in comparable situations, especially those of you that are fathers.
I am open to your ideas and suggestions. Help a young guy out!
