My boss pulled me aside at work the other day. He first told me I'm doing a good job, work-wise, which is true. I'm very focused and efficient at work.

He is more of a "people guy", so he frequently talks to other employees about their concerns and feelings so I get the genuine feeling he cares about his employees and isn't one of those bad bosses that just likes controlling people.

Anyways, he told me a lot of the other employees feel uncomfortable because I seem distant and unfriendly. It was kind of surprising to me because it's not like I ignore people. I say hi and make some small talk professionally, but I don't talk a whole lot because I'm focused on my work. If someone tries to start a conversation with me while I'm in the middle of doing something work-related, I'm probably not the best conversationalist because I'm busy.

Personally, I don't care what they think or what they do. But since this was brought to my attention by my manager, who I respect, I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not.
