Ypull never be out of a job in medicine. People will always be getting old and sick. You will be more respected as a doctor than most other professions. You will also live comfortably off your salary. Factor that into your decision. And ultimately, this is what real life being an adult is like: sometimes youll be faced with a decision consisting of equally favourable choices, and you wont know which option to take. Nobody can see the future, so youll never know which was better ultimately. Just make a decision and stick with it. Be the best you can be at the thing you choose.

At the end of the day, all jobs have advantages and all jobs have parts that suck. No matter what you do you'll be working hard. One out of three doctors hate their jobs; medicine has a high suicide rate. Medicine sucks for social life (long hours, shift work) - and you're not making good money until you are through residency and maybe even a fellowship or two. When others your age are out partying, climbing up the corporate ladder, buying condos or houses, going to Mexico in winter, you are working. Medicine is all about delayed gratification. If you make it through your residency/fellowships, then life will start to look good - really good. If you're still a bachelor at this point, you will have your pick of the ladies and you'll be able to spin as many plates as you want.

, and then many guys end up falling for the first girl who smiles at them, looking to be Mrs Dr.

don't ask career advice on trp. huge mistake.

choosing careers is complicated in nuanced. DO NOT listen to your parents, do you own research and look at your own stats. look at median income of graduation, % graduating, etc. it's your life, and hte most important decision you make. Don't spend 1600 hrs a year working in a direction when you haven't spent 40 hrs determining if it's the right direction.

eg. programmers are way better than doctors right now taking length and difficulty of education in to account. Compounding money (working 8 years earlier has huge effects of wealth gain) Lawyers make good money, IF you can go to a good law school. middle tier law schools are not worth the money.Biology is one of the worst majors right now; too many people couldn't make med schoool and now have dead end $16/hr jobs while also putting hte work in to graduate hard science.

You know, of the top 5 google searches done by women and their search for porn, a "doctor" happens to be among them. Of course, there are the obvious ones, such as "millionaire".

Don't take this the wrong way, but first you should study English. Maybe it is just internet laziness but your grammar, spelling and punctuation suck.

I am not familiar with biotech careers but I know a bunch of doctors. An ER doc can pull $350k; an orthopod can probably bring in half a million; nuclear medicine averages a million a year.

It depends on your skill set.

In the end, it depends on what will make you happy. I don't like dealing with sick and injured people so I went into business and then then law rather than medicine. Ultimately, I teach ESL in China and have the time of my life.
