Currently 22 and in a shit sales job where i make less than 20k a year, I have a degree buts its in business and didnt get the best grade. I dont enjoy my current job but idm as your not supposed to enjoy work especially not entry level jobs

Congratulations, you are in one of the most lucrative jobs to have with no actual degree in what you are doing. I've met many sales professionals in my career and no one cares if they have a degree in Migratory Polar Bear Science and Women's studies or an MBA. The biggest thing anyone in sales cares about, what is your sales.

I'm going to assume this is a commission or pay based on sales type job. It can be a great path to other jobs. Even in the midst of the pandemic, I still get calls looking to fill Sales director spots. The good news for you, most sales guys are average. Start getting better and you can turn that shitty entry-level job into a nice career. I know a guy who started out painting offices, then selling pumps, and now he makes well into the $150,000's base (B2B sales are where it's at).

Start honing your craft. Read anything you can on sales. The top primer books I'd offer are Never Split the Difference, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and The Ultimate Sales Machine. The biggest skill you can figure out, is what do they really want? People don't buy drills because they want a drill, they buy drills because they need a hole. Find out what hole they want.

Get awesome at your current shitty job and you can walk into a better job and tell them, "I started out making 20K a year where I am now and grew my sales by 15% in a year."

When you make 20k a year in sales than you are a bad salesmen. I made 20k so far this year and i am 23!

Dude, there are so many great sales organizations looking for eager salespeople. You don't have to start great, be willing to learn and put in work with the company. If you're in a shitty organization, it is definitely way harder, but you can be great anywhere if you learn basic sales.

I started off doing door-to-door sales, grew through that company, won a bunch of awards there, ran all of their sales training and onboarding, and now run am running a global consumer insights company. I didn't have a degree or any special training beforehand, I just committed to learning sales and negotiation and put in the hours to get good, just like when you're at university, you need to put in the hours to get good grades.

You should be making over $100k after a year of solid training and practice.
