The girl I like has a hotter friend, let's call her B. Two weeks ago I went out with my friend's group, she was there and apparently now she told everyone that she likes me. She messages me on facebook all the time with girly questions and so on.

Girls are always competing with each other. This is essentially a competition between A and B. While it might be possible to have sex with both of them, your probably better off picking one or the other considering all of these girls are part of your social circle. It's really up to you what you want to do but having sex with both girls could create social problems for you that aren't worth dealing with. Use their competition to your advantage and escalate with one girl or the other one.

These two girls are part of the same social circle - so unfortunately you can't have your cake and eat it too. Pick one and expect to lose the other. But:

Since you're already involved with A, if you jump ship to B you potentially jeopardize a chance with A down the line.

But, if you stay with A, B can only want you further due to the pre-selection from A. You risk missing out on B because she will get snatched up by another alpha. You will have to wait until she is single again.

The advice here is pretty solid - because they are part of the same social circle, you are almost certainly going to have to pick just one. Guys with the ability to bang two women who know each other are in the top 1%. And it's no shame to not be in the top 1%.

It's hard to give you solid advice on which one to pick because we don't have enough information.

It's generally a good idea not to date your homeboys' sisters. If it goes south, it takes a STRONG bro to not cleave to his blood. If you break up with girl A, it is very likely to cost you with your bro.

Further, because they know each other, dropping girl A for girl B may invoke the Girl Code. (They have rules - they're just willing to break 'em at the drop of a hat if it "feels right.)

Ok - here's my take: I'm going with the bird in the hand plus bro-code. Stick with Girl A, but flirt gently with Girl B. Do NOT start long text conversations, talk about feelings, or help her change her tires. That way lies the friend zone. Make Girl B your plan B.

Always keep track of hot girls who are single. Smile, be friendly, and establish interest. This does two things: it keeps a frisson of doubt in the mind of your LTR. You don't want her to think you're cheating, or about to cheat. That will justify her branch-swinging. You just want her to know that you are a man with options, and that she can be replaced. It also gives you your own stepping stones. If you girl drops you, you don't have to start from scratch trying to find a new one. This gives you hand (frame) in the relationship.

At 17 years old, if you think this is a difficult problem, then wait until you're in your mid 20's.

Eventually, you will learn the right answer is to not 'pick' any of the girls. Unofficially or officially, don't let them tie you down with the 'girlfriend' and 'boyfriend' labels.

However, also be mature enough to know that when you are not exclusive that your plate might be hooking up with other guys.
