This girl in my school hit me up wanting to make music with me. At first, we just talked about musical influences and I ended the convo telling her to hit me up when she wants to record something. Time passes and her friend comes up to me saying that the girl was worried that I didn't want to do it anymore.

At this point, I had a strong feeling she liked me so a few days later I asked her out to eat at a reataurant to "discuss music". Hugged her when we met and left, great convo, held frame. Time passes and we go to the MOMA in NYC on a second date. We're close to each other the whole time, I tease her often, held eye contact, lots of kino. She was also enamored with my stoic demeanor. And then it got to my head.

I started texting her often after that, trying to make jokes to get a reaction instead of having the natural wit from the dates and convos before. My friend one day then hears that she doesn't like me and she just wanted to make music. I fuck up and then text her saying I really like her, only to get a reply of she only sees us as friends and she doesn't want this to change that.

I continue talking to her with this increased investment and slowly but it's not the same as before. Responses became bland and I decided to stop texting her. It's been four days since I've stopped.
