Your career/school/life decisions should never be dictated by your social circle. Decide what you think is best for your future - and proceed wholeheartedly. Learn to network and make friends without the work, school or booze crutches.

Retiring at 35 sounds amazing. A bit too amazing especially if you currently make 40k only...
I would go with business and some studies.

I think school isn't a bad idea if you can afford it. I think Law sounds more versatile than an MBA but that's just me. If you want to be in upper management an MBA and takes a certain personality. I think Law would provide more challenge and allow you to be more independent down the road. Women are everywhere, the crazy ones are in Law school.

retire around 35 and travel the world.
If you claim this and say that you "truly have the skills" to be a successful business owner then you will not want to retire at 35. Choose a career path that is easily transferable around the world, regardless of language, culture or how developed the place is. You can then move as you please, easily gaining employment on your terms to countries that excite you. E.g. engineer, medical, logistics, consulting, accounting etc.

You can never go wrong with going back to school if the subsequent education/degree will propel you up a couple steps on the ladder.
That's what I'm working toward in my mid20s after reaching a dead end with my college degree. Higher ed will take you higher.
