Get drinks to go.

Take a walk around the block.

Happen to pass this cool bar you know and she owes you a drink anyways since she bought you coffee.

I prefer these for first dates, especially with online dating. Can very quickly figure out if it's someone you're into/can tolerate sober. I don't push the kino but there's a lot you can communicate with your voice eyes and body language.

Sure, I've done several afternoon coffee dates. One thing I like about my 2 o'clock coffee dates is you're not putting your night on hold for a first date that could likely go either way. 30-45 minutes for coffee in the afternoon isn't much of a time waster for me since I'll usually have that time constraint.

If the date goes well, I'll usually invite for a drink that same night. If it doesn't go well, whatever. I wanted a coffee anyway.

Honestly, I have had coffee dates that turned into a bar hopping dates but that's not what I recommend because they tend to turn out to be addicted to alcohol.

So I'd say do a coffee date and then about 1-2 hours later, especially if you sense there are boring parts or she's not opening up and talking a lot, or not elaborating on the answers to your questions, then you should just leave. Say that you gotta do some stuff (be ready for a possible "what stuff?" kind of question), and you'd like to do it again and will call.

You may suggest something like "can I walk you home" (if walking) or "drive you home?" (if you have car). Take her up to the door if you can and then kiss her on the lips. If she's not interested she'll give you the cheek. That's not a total rejection but it will give you good insight. She might panic or get nervous and that's a good sign. Just go for a kiss.

It's better if your coffee date is someplace where you both can sit on the same side and do incidental kino.
