I myself have very different experience. When I get strong IOIs, kiss, set up a date, then keep my responses short and to the point, ignoring all off topic and communicate only logistics, 8/10 of girls will flake on next date.

I've had the best experience keeping some sort of chat going on. Keeping them interested in me. Random questions about "Did you watch that show yesterday?" or some stupid shit that comes to my mind. Still trying to keep it 2/3 investment from her. Sometimes responding immediately, other times keeping her waiting for a day.
