This honestly belongs in /r/cringe... I think, for me, the particularly infuriating part is the empty compliment (on the assumption you don't really know the cooking skills of the friend at this point in time.)
Don't mention it ever again. Hope she forgets. Contact her whenever you would normally, as long as the subject is something entirely unrelated. If it comes up again, laugh it off and change subject ASAP.
