Questions up front. 1. How would you convince your roommate a girl is bad news regardless of the fact she's hot? 2. Is there validity in keeping around hot girls as "orbiters" (if that's even possible) even though they're clearly trying to use you and NOT sleeping with you? Follow up how would you handle them if you had to interact with them?

My male roommate and I have a girl we've both taken passes at who has essentially friend zoned us both in an attempt to use us. Our house, liquor, attention, etc. I've expressed multiple times my disdain for her and the situation, but he seems confident that her value to us is "her friends, and pre selection, and the off chance she decides to fuck one of us." (Paraphrasing). He is ok with being in the friendzone area because of the previously mentioned "benefits" and thinks if we put in 0 effort on our end we won't be taken advantage of. I'm skeptical at best and rejected her first attempt to friendzone me, but I'm inadvertently there now on account of my roommates befriending her.
