I recently did a personality test (understandmyself.com) and it says that I have very low conscientiousness (5th percentile) and very high neuroticism (95th percentile), which is highly correlated with procrastination (I am an expert procrastinator). I am also exceptionally low in agreeableness (0th percentile).

This is the general diagnosis for low conscientiousness:

They will only work hard if directly and continually pushed by outside forces (supervisors, spouses, friends, parents). They can be very creative at wasting time. They are very likely to procrastinate (particularly if they are also above average in neuroticism). Even if they do commit to doing something, it is very likely they will be late, or delayed, even when there is no reason for failing to deliver.

So what?

I saw a beautiful girl yesterday walking by, she looked at me, and then she looked down. She walked by next to me and I didn't even moved into talking with her. I've done this many times in the past, and I hate myself for it.

Thus, I have two questions:

  1. is there any connection between conscientiousness and approaching girls?
  2. how to overcome this thing that I do that I know what I have to do (talking to her) but I don't do it?

Thanks!
