Background: 20M, single, discovered trp one year ago, started improving, noticed increased success with women, short term plan is spinning plates maybe get a gf. Long term plan is unknown.

Stats tell me that marriage is a terrible choice and i kept the idea of marrying out of my mind for a long time, and starting to question it again now.

I hear people saying it ruined their life and you go through years of drama and bitterness ending up with her taking all of your shit. Although there are some successfully married people out there.

On the other hand there is the idea of willingly creating a structure stable enough with a person I know well enough that the possibilities of raising children successfully will be maximized. But do I want children ?

I don't know but the life model of:

1-me being cared for, nourished and educated by other people until

2-autosufficiency is achieved then

3-start caring for an other human

looks like a viable way of being. There is also a pattern between -going through the hustle of getting your shit together to be autosufficient, caring for yourself, stop making it about fucking around all day- and the struggle of stop making it about yourself raising kids. And in both transitions the burden of responsibility makes you come out stronger, more mature and fulfilled. Do you think it's true?

I recognize it is not so easy because it requires the right partner (good luck figuring out what she's like) but it would be just foolish taking marriage out of the equation from the beginning right?

Does this make sense?

Am I missing something that makes it not worth it from a mile away?

Is there such thing as the '' right mindset'' for a successful marriage?

What is an alternative to marriage ? How does a life without wife and kids look like?
