I've got a buddy who gets laid a lot. He is also on parole, has a shit job, lacks a lot of discipline. He is just fun, works out, and wears decent clothes.

Girls see men as fun drugs to take. It's just one of the many reasons you shouldn't use women to judge your own value or the value of others. The other big reason is that they always use proxies for determining value

--> preselection (what other women think) --> how you respond to shit tests (why being an asshole works)
--> whatever their hamster is chewing on that day

For alpha fucks, I still have no idea if smarts adds or subtracts or is neutral, all else being equal. I suppose intdepends on the woman, but I'd like to figure out the most common case.

As a guy with a penis you have a bias. Any guy that's getting lots of attention and lays from girls is going to rub you the wrong way if he's not your best friend; it's tribal.

You're mentally, unintentionally, gearing up your hormones to fight for alpha male status among the chimps in the cage. Don't kill that spirit but contain it and channel it towards something else. His flirting is just game and good small talk. Good small talkers always agree and mirror who they are talking to; so if he's always talking to airhead bimbo's he's going to come off the same way.

I bet if that same guy wasn't fucking anybody and came up to you to play video games you'd find him to be a cool dude. Let's assume he really isn't very bright. Are all your friends wicked smart? It takes all type of people to run this world and there are many types of 'smart.'

So contain your jealousy and competitiveness modern society won't allow you to go out and challenge him and club him down and take his females; and seething jealousy will find a way to manifest itself in your relations with others in your social circle.

My recommendation would be to swallow your pride and befriend him. Learn from him, and use him as a high quality wing man. Imagine yourself one year from now would you like to have more game or more animosity?
