Alright, so I've been lurking on this sub for a few weeks. When I first came here, I was like wtf these guys are fucked up. I still think some of you are, but your content is making me curious. I am in a relationship and the girl is awesome, I respect her and she wants me to open up more (I'm very reserved, don't show my weaknesses). Whenever I confide in her or something, the sexual tension drops like a rock and I feel objectively weaker. I even feel she's less attracted to me. I now think there is merit to some of the material on here. We are all attracted to people who perceive to be more powerful than us (for the woman the so-called alpha), and when that illusion is shattered the attraction also drops. Let me know what experiences you guys have had in your own relationships with this. I have yet to read a lot of the theory so consider me a noob.

Edit: For the lack of a specific question, how should I proceed from here? I don't want to become an asshole or be mean, my approach would be to just detach emotionally a bit, stop sharing my feelings with her (I don't really want to she wants me to).
