So I’ve been hanging out with a few people from class lately and I noticed in general I tend to naturally tell stories that involve me in some high value situation (ex being vip in a club or hosting a big party). When I tell these stories, it’s usually with the purpose of relating to them with a story I’d enjoy telling rather than trying to subtly brag. But after the conversation is over I introspect and can’t help but feel that maybe I came off as bragging even though that wasnt the purpose and everyone seems to respond well to my stories. I don’t feel this way when I’m telling stories that don’t involve my value in some way.
So my questions are, am I just feeling guilt for having value? And how could I tell if I’m actually bragging or not?
